That was wholesomely honest of you. For someone who isn't usually an anime fan you picked a good one. Digimon is good too, but it's a bit of a longer commitment so I won't blame you for not taking the time to watch it. The movie is a very fun romp and a millennial time capsule.

We just don't look at it because we fear it. Just like we don't look bullies in the eye for fear we will be the next target. But this bully has been stealing our lunch money for so many generations that even our grandparents barely knew what lunch was, and my grandparents were all white!

I'd call a person who committed suicide over losing a job negligence on the part of the government and an investigation should be done on the company. Because people shouldn't feel like their life is over just for losing a job. But in the society we have now, it can be.

If his take is Digimon, my guess is "yes, but he hasn't seen many of them". Digimon is most popular with kids who grew up without cable tv. That means no access to the Cartoon Network / Adult Swim animes and likely no anime watching by the time streaming was available.

Digimon and Pokemon are so different that it's pretty easy to be fans of both 🤷 As one of the kids of the era I never got this take. The Digimon anime was way more meaningful and powerful than Pokemon too.
