i am 100% dependent on donations to make ends meet currently. i live in my van and have few expenses (fuel+insurance on the van, phone bill, cloud bills, and food basically) but having all that accounted for lets me focus on my work, ie polycrisis and my open source dev+research in a couple […]

RE troet.cafe/@vegancoder/117341187241… its not like people like me are ignoring this aspect (capitalism as designed, it isnt rocket science), its that we see that a better way of life is possible and that there is value in investing in it now, not just waiting for the rest of yall […]

ok ive been rotting long enough today. i guess i'll have a snack and hack on dollctl for a bit (have to put name validation on non-upsert operations and add a method to rerun a pipeline that, eg failed for something like transient network failure)

100

feeling much better today imagine i'll be able to function more or less normally tomorrow and be at baseline by monday =w=

nilix @nilix.cafe.nilfm.cc.ap.brid.gy · 24/09/2026

#dollctl CICD is ready for prime time ^^ * pipelines are basically just defined by a name and a dockerfile * they checkout the commit which triggered the run, write the dockerfile, and use podman to run it * results include start/end time, status, and standard output and error streams * […]

000

ok there's a simple queue for pipeline runs in dollctl now. next i'm gonna make it into a map of queues so that different pipelines can run in parallel but each pipeline has to queue its runs so they don't try to build/run/destroy the same container or trample on each others external resources

100

ok as much as i wanted the extra money i am prioritizing my physical health so the remainder of my time at the food co op (6 shifts) has been cut short i will now be able to devote my full attention to things that matter. for today, i will start by adding queueing to the dollctl cicd runner and […]

000

there was so much good music at open mic last night but ofc i have some stupid 80s pop soykaf from the playlist at work stuck in my brain this morning x_x

000

new pfp (full body version on my website), balance of cuteness and aggressiveness >:3 roar!

100

woooo CICD via podman works like a charm after debugging my stupid ass trying to read and write a channel on the same goroutine :> sigil is also updated to match! #dollctl

000

ok dollctl cicd now shells out to podman and the config for a pipeline is literally just a dockerfile. will test/debug after a break to touch grass

000

people be like "where do you camp? isnt it hard to find spots?" dawg i literally turned into a random residential street and parked under a tree last night what are you talking about #vanLife
