butch yuri central @nikyohours.bsky.social · 16/08/2026i dont draw or yap enough about the Renoirs for how fundamental their relationship is to the whole story... when they got doomed parent & child/"apple doesn't fall far from the tree" at the function fun fact they're inverted palettes of each other lol 131 0
butch yuri central @nikyohours.bsky.social · 15/08/2026several times i attempted to return to honkai/gehshin and cookie run and genuinely weren't able to tolerate more than one hour of playing. especially as a returning player its so unrewarding and overstimulating. butch yuri central @nikyohours.bsky.social · 15/08/2026feels very odd not to be playing any gacha games... they still have so much stronghold on fandom and "nerd" culture. honestly i really wish they didn't, saying that as ex hoyo player of 2 years. i dropped hoyo games in 2023 and genuinely cant even make myself come back. the gameplay is so ass 110 0

butch yuri central @nikyohours.bsky.social · 14/08/2026i get that you feel proud of your subtext and are worried someone will not get them i had the same problem but outright stating what your story is about to your audience is way way worse than if they just dont get some part themselves. + fandom thrives on discussing subtext leave it to them 010 0
butch yuri central @nikyohours.bsky.social · 14/08/2026if there's anything i could tell to beginning writers its that less=more and please be less up your own ass. the amount of indie visual novels i played where the symbolism/moral/theme are outright explained in plain text STOPPP its making the story so much less appealing esp to adult audience 😭😭😭 220 0
