As predicted, Gladbach sack Eugen Polanski. Jan-Moritz Lichte(his assistant) is put in charge of the team ahead of the match against Mainz. The Foals are likely to present a new coach soon.

2nd half a lot better by Werder. Dinkci unlucky to hit the bar.

Werder are really out of sorts here. Passing game is a disaster. Loads of possession, nothing substantial produced. Köln by far the more aggressive side.

That pass in the build up play is just suicidal. That’s the sort of thing you’d expect to see in the Bezirksliga, nevermind the Bundesliga.

Bundesliga groups all over the US exist but don’t really get the attention they should, until now This season we’ll be looking to do a live show at a Bundesliga groups bar to show US Bundesliga culture. We’ll be starting with Chicago groups first with AJ Hudson’s and @chicagoeffzeh.bsky.social

Gladbach look really outta sorts right now. Polanski’s head might be the first to roll… absolute shocker against Freiburg.

Elversberg being insanely fun to watch, Jamie Vardy owning actual Bundesliga broadcasting rights, Karius showing the sort of form from early Mainz days, and Werder winning a match against a plastic team. Gotta say, this week I’m missing recording @talkingfussball.bsky.social.

Fun fact about the 2. Bundesliga so far, every match round has had a minimum of 1 red card so far. Across the 4 rounds, theres been 8 total red cards. By this time last season there were actually 11 lol The 2. Gladiatorliga

Well, conceding goals in that fashion is shocking for a Sunday league side exclusively consisting of smokers with a half a lung between them and 500 pounds too many per player, nevermind in the Bundesliga…

Freiburg haven’t even kicked into 3rd gear you feel… Werder looks like a badly composed side without any direction.

Karim Coulibaly is currently courted by Strasbourg. If Werder sell him, the club is looking to get Cameron Puertas back to the Weserstadion and signing a new right back. The squad might actually be in place ahead of the start of the Bundesliga season this time around.

Fülle is back. One year loan. The striker has made it clear to Clemens Fritz that he is really keen on a return to Werder. The striker is accepting considerably lower wages at the Weserstadion in order to making the deal going through…

Füllkrug on his way back to Werder… I assume the right back Werder is going to present at the start of the season is probably going to be Paul Stalteri or Umit Davala.

Egen Dinkci is about to return to Werder on a one year loan. Decent piece of business. Squad still needs a striker who has the potential to score between 10-15 goals and a full back…

So. Bald FIFA guy wants to give the World Cup final to Morocco in exchange for support. I’m afraid he won’t go down with a fight. Removing term limits might be the next thing on the agenda if he weathers this storm.

Klopp to Magenta TV: German football is at a pivotal moment, things need to change fundamentally, if that is going to happen with me or someone else as the coach doesn’t change the fact that those changes need to be made.
