T-shirt design for my current Kickstarter campaign! I've been wanting to make a chicken t-shirt for so long ❤️ 🐔 If you remember my 'Sleepy Cats' shirt, this is the same color 💙 www.kickstarter.com/projects/nik...

Making a new version of the cover, because I think it needs to reflect the comic better. 'Scales an Feathers' is basically Winnie and Bee meeting all sorts of odd characters 😄

Page 30. I was looking forward to this page because it introduces one of my favorite characters 🖤

Not even halfway done coloring Part 2, but this is already the 3rd page with multiple scenes to illustrate the passage of time. I feel like the scenes in this book are so much harder than part 1, maybe that's the reason why it takes so much time. Part 2 will not be finished in June like I hoped 😅

Pages 5-7 conclude the opening scene of my #raiden comic!

Page 5 - the top left panel shows Helena heating up her mug of tea using magic. She says: 'Perhaps you'll join the theater group one day? You make up stories all the time.'
Panel 2: Helena uses mage hand to float a book in her direction, while Raiden walks past holding the box. He says: 'Maybe. But I don't wanna only be here during summer, though.'
Panel 3: Helena's mage hand ruffles Raidens hair. She says: 'Good. I like having you around in every season.'
Panel 4: A closeup of the book Helena is now reading. It contains magical sigils and a lot of small text and calculations. Raiden asks: 'Are you reading boring stories again?'
Panel 5: We see the living room from above. Helena in her chair says: 'They do lack sword fights. Though I wouldn't call the magical truths about our universe "boring".' Her speech bubble is interrupted by Raidens, saying: 'I'm gonna play in the garden!' as he runs to the back door.

Page 6, panel 1: Raiden stands in the garden behind the house, holding the box and looking around.
Panel 2: Raiden pushes aside some shrubs and looks pleased.
Panel 3: Raiden squats down and digs a hole with his hands between the shrubs.
Panel 4: He lowers the little box into the hole.

Page 7, a full splash illustration of a rock sitting atop a patch of dirt where Raiden has buried the box, amid the bushes. Text bubbles read: 'You won't get any of my treasure, captain Somerton Swale! It's buried somewhere you and your cursed crew will never find it!' 'Clang!' 'Thwack!'

This random background character should get their own spinoff as a fitness instructor xD

Due to personal reasons January and February were rough and I didn't get to work on Will-o'-Wisp much. But I'm getting back to it this week. Working on this page that I was so proud of while doing the lineart, and now I hate it haha.

I have finished the lineart of Will-o'-Wisp part 2 and have now started coloring page 1 ✨️

Sometimes I wish I could give all these fun side characters their own story. Like this old goblin lady, I'm sure she was friends with Winnies grandma at some point. #comicart #comic

Anyone suggestions on nice gnome houses? What objects we have today would be great for a tiny creature to live in?

Fun fact: Winnie does not often remove her hat, but if she does you can see this hair called 'Ahoge' 😁 'Ahoge, literally "foolish hair," is a visual cue common to Japanese anime and manga. A lock of hair sticking out used to identify foolish, bumbling or carefree characters' #comic

When I sketched this panel 1,5 year ago I was thinking: 'I have no idea how I'm going to pull this off'. But now that I'm actually here, it's not so scary anymore. It took me long enough to start on my comic, not going to let a 'dificult' panel get me down. #comic #comicartist #graphicnovel

I have finally been able to launch the pledge manager on Kickstarter. This means emsils have been sent out to collect shipping data and a t-shirt size survey. Also those who have picked it up at Dutch Comic Con will have to do this I think 🤔
