I've joined the editorial board of a Disinformation: An Interdisciplinary Journal (journals.sagepub.com/home/DIN ) . I'm in very good company and I'm sure this will evolve into an interesting venue for a lot of relevant research!

I don't know if we'd ever go back to early days of relax Twitter (not too early - I remember the early days was frantic trying to catch all the tweets, then we found a rhythm). 😭

At the moment, my LinkedIn reeks of either how much more work journal editors are doing due to AI use in submissions and review, and how much more work "productive" contacts are in terms of research outputs. This doesn't bode well for my stress levels in the near future ...

The ad states expected start is in October - my presumption is that it'll be one year from start date. I wouldn't expect extensions - our fixed-term contracts tend to be on a need-basis, from my experience.

Panel today got me thinking: we 🇲🇾-ns collectively don’t appreciate our own greats/experts. Especially in the Arts - and moreso when these pieces are used to force us to confront the most uncomfortable parts of ourselves. Here’s to more discourse of Jit’s works in academia. @nikicheong.bsky.social
