Those are some excellent neck wrinkles

So weird. As of Sept 1 in forums, they were still assuring users that things were normal even after suspending all their promotions. I just hope their internal staffers weren’t blindsided by this, because too often that’s how these things go

Sad about the news of Tapas shutting down. It was a foundational part of my early professional webcomics experience, and I have used it to discover many comics and web novels I love. I also appreciated all the readers who left their kind and funny comments after each update 💔

Nika @nikacomics.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Yeah it wasn’t needed when I only had a few but now I have enough that I feel like it’s time to get organized 😅

Good question! That you’ve collected

Anyway if anyone else worked on Lumberjanes in 2014 for contract rates, got a royalty offer in 2024, then received a buyout offer on those royalties in 2026, give me some advice please. I just don't wanna get emails about this anymore and I don't wanna owe taxes on money I don't have.

Alas, I don't think I'll have time to do Art Fight this year, but had a blast last year. Here are some of my #artfight2025 faves! Featuring OCs by ngumngim_ (X), jaxcels.bsky.social, extrcrush.bsky.social, quietsnooze.bsky.social

Colored illustration of handsome middle-aged man with graying hair licking a spot of blood off his white-gloved hand; he is dressed impeccably in a black shirt, vest, red scarf and pinstripe pants

In a golden hued retro anime style, a female demon with long flowing pale hair poses with a teacup. Variously shaped loaves of bread float above her head

Gently rendered full color illustration of a purple tiefling woman in a starry blouse, her curly hair held back in a yellow bandana

Simple colored drawing of a redheaded woman in a beanie talking with her hand outspread. She wears a tank, plaid pants, and black boots

It's been awhile since I've shared any new drawings, but wanted to give a peek at a project I've been working on: a retelling of Rapunzel. I had a lot of fun working on the character designs!

Digital colored sketch of young woman with braided yellow hair peering through branches.

For Rapunzel, I wanted to find that balance of youthful curiosity with the kind of fierce determination that makes you want to root for her. I also experienced firsthand how drawing lots of hair does take some patience!

Monotone sketch of Rapunzel in different poses: fists balled as she grips the ends of her pigtails; Rapunzel looking contemplative with a butterfly in her hair; Rapunzel laughing, showing a gap-toothed grin

So excited that this book is coming out this month!! 💖 Got to read an early copy and the cover just perfectly captures what it felt like to read this story: colorful, whimsical…with an emotional gut punch when you least expect it. The river weavers were my favorite.
