Fuck yes! I'm doing my daily classic Resident binge on my Retroid playing the True Director's Cut rom hack that aims to make the most definitive version of RE1 using the odd Greatest Hits DualShock Ver. starting with replacing the bad alternative soundtrack seen in that version adding rooms etc.

Played the new Castlevania demo (Belmont's Curse) and it was scrumptious, bit rusty with these sort of games so I was ragdolled around on the boss but it was super cool, only complaint is presentation/tech stuff with ingame cinematic camera being super jittery and framerates higher than 60 stutters

The juice is worth the squeeze though but no phone cam will do it justice if you are willing to get into the weeds a bit plus most don't have the hardware or my special freak tastes in certain PC games that allow for all this to be feasible but that's chill, great to come back to this banger.

Clocked about 6.4 hours into the game which is crazy for a demo, the steam controller dpad placement is really nice for this game and I slapped on a ReShade custom CRT shader preset Vibe Shader by Vilithos to give it a bit more depth without completely ruining the game's intended look and text

The Callisto Protocol, maybe I'm just desperate for more Dead Space but what I played was pretty alright, the PC version is absolutely abysmal with really bad single threaded performance, stuttering and the like and it does a lot of dumb modern third person troupes but melee smash 'em up was fun

Ok running around a bit in DX12 with all the RT on and it is a noticeable improvement visually and with DLSS Performance upsampling to my monitor's native resolution and not 2.25x of an already absurdly high resolution it's running better still but I was being cheeky before with a 7680x3240 res

Thankfully after giving it another go on my current system seems to be working far better with DX11 where I believe I tried DX12, it still stutters but capping to 60 FPS removes some so here it is on my LG GX9 5K2K Ultrawide maxed out (no RT) on DLDSR 2.25x with latest DLSS Preset L on Performance.

CULTIC 100% completed, all levels aced with all monsters killed, secrets found, teddy bear/plushie escorted and on the hardest extreme difficulty got a bit spicy near the end of Chapter 2 but replaying the later Christmas BLOOD themed map was a treat once again, sad it's all done and dusted.
