Mar'i couldn't contain her laughter while it wiggled in her arms. She had no idea what it was, and she didn't care.

I have to apologize for writing the title in what could be construed as misleading; this is not a guide for other people to write minor characters, and that could be an interpretation of the title. This is just the most basic guidelines *I* follow when writing them.
