I saw them play in, of all places, Boulder, where my sister was in college in the late 1980s. That was quite the show!

What you're describing is the situation between Louisiana State University, Damien Shanklin, and Kendall Francis, who shared that LSU failed her after their own investigation found Damien, a student athlete, responsible for sexual assault and forcible rape. youtu.be/SI35s6GKbL0 via @wafb.com.

Kendall Francis, an LSU student, speaks about her traumatic experiences during a WAFB 9 interview.

Was it necessary for the cop to throw this student to the ground and then punch her in the face? Would he have reacted the same way if she had been a white, blonde cheerleader? Is it true that #1312 in Tempe?

This LSU student was raped last year by a football player who's still on the team. She doesn't have much to celebrate, and neither do we.

My partner worked there as a line cook when he was in college. It's hard to believe that they tore the place down earlier this year. Arrivederci, Alioto 8! 👋🏽

I lean further toward progressive than 99% of the ideologies in the catalog. Historically, Anarchist Aragon and Catalonia would've been compatible places for me, with present-day Vermont being a 94% match. VT? Really? Anyway, I do wish the quiz hadn't been so European and white in flavor.

Here's a close-up of Mark Fisher, son of working-class, conservative parents in Loughborough (England), who wrote Capitalist Realism. According to the quiz, he and I are a compatible personality match, so I looked him up (https://www.thecollector.com/mark-fisher-capitalism-capitalist-realism/). RIP Mark.

I know that your meme is supposed to be a cute little riff on that "grab 'em by the pussy" comment, but Black and other non-white folks couldn't register let alone vote once upon a time, and more recently, barriers have been erected to maintain the status quo.

I appreciate how Clive Stafford Smith, an attorney I met at LDF, talked about Christa's botched execution, her significant trauma as a child (www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...), how the state misleads victim families, and why we should #AbolishCapitalPunishment.

An undated photo shows Christa Pike as a girl with a wistful expression.

William Pounds seems like a disaster waiting to happen, but I don't get why Cynthia McKinney would endorse faux candidates. If folks aren't supporting you, Gary, as an actual Green Party candidate, I hope they're voting for JoAnna Mendoza rather than Juan Ciscomani.

Nothing hardcore, but I never got the hang of Frogger, the game I played at work in the '80s on an Apple IIe. Now I just fool around with Mahjong during tedious films and (occasionally) Zoom meetings.

#IsGodIs has been the best film I've seen during this Year of the Fire Horse.

A Black woman named Angie (played by Janelle Monáe) sits in front of several mirrors that reflect her face as she speaks sotto voce. The mirrors, with perfume and other small cosmetic bottles, rest on her makeup table, ever so artfully arranged.
