I binged Devil May Cry S2 today. Loved: - Non-stop Action - Vergil stole the show in the second half - I can never get enough Lady Hated: - the soundtrack being made up of a terrible remixes of 2000s rock songs; it was cute in S1, and now its overkill 💀 - ending felt abrupt

Devil May Cry Season 2 releases on Netflix on May 12!!! Nobody can ruin this for me! Love the series, loved the season 1 adaptation and all the Easter eggs, and I want MORE!

I'm feeling so nostalgic looking back at the old marketing materials for Fable from 2004! The era of Good/Evil storytelling in video gaming was still in its infancy, which left a lot of room imo for role-playing and imagination I'm hoping the reboot captures this same spirit!

050 5

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 23/01/2026

Its great to see #Fable getting so much attention with a new showcase today! During my pre-teens, the original game mystified me with its choice based narrative and your player character's visage reflecting your actions! Treat yourself to the old games if you haven't already!

Just finished my second playthrough of Dispatch! Romanced Blonde Blazer this time (which I didn't the first time through) I don't think I would have ever thought to compare murder to masturbation lol Good one Robert Robertson.

The Sardine Bar Fight Scene is one of my favorite sections of the entire Dispatch game! Every member of the Z-team's personality gets a chance to shine, and I can't stop laughing about Punch-up's "Special Move" and Prism's ongoing free karaoke concert singing "Hoes Depressed".

The Season 2 premiere of Chained Soldier was a blast—great intro to the 10 commanders of the Mato Defense Force! Excited for their showcase of powers, Yuuki's about to be a hot comodity, and Ren Yamashiro absolutely stole the spotlight! Anyone else hyped for this new season?

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Episode 1 of Sentenced to Be a Hero came out with straight heat, with Studio Kai really flexing their animation chops for what felt like an hour long combat sequence. I'm looking forward to the next couple episodes digging more into the lore behind the MC Xylo and his past! Did you watch this yet?

Ranma 1/2 (2nd Season) A bleed over from 2025, but my first anime season finished this year! - perfect blend of romance/action/comedy for all ages Classic chaos at its finest — gender-bending martial arts mayhem never misses! - has that late 80s/90s anime feel but modern! A must-watch imho 👀

8/ Frieren S2 Confession: I still haven't watched S1 yet... 😅 But S2 is lighting a fire under me! The fantasy world, Frieren's tragic long-life story, and those cinematic action scenes—no wonder it dominated as Anime of 2024. Time to catch up and join the hype!

120 2

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

7/ Scum of the Brave Near-future sci-fi Tokyo: Crime lords turn into superpowered "Demon Lords". Only "Heroes"—bounty hunters with kill licenses—can stop them legally. Lone wolf Yashiro gets a pushy high school girl as his apprentice! Silly premise, gritty action—I'm in! 😂🔥

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

6/ Mayonaka Heart Tune Sweet new high school romance! MC Arisu Yamabuki used to listen to late-night radio host "Apollo," whose broadcasts suddenly ended. Now a 2nd-year, he joins the school's Broadcast Club—hunting for the voice he fell in love with! Cozy mystery vibes ahead.

4/ Hell's Paradise S2 Low-key the debut season of Hell's Paradise is heavily slept on! Another Studio Mappa banger, Hell's Paradise is about several fugitives being put on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth in order to secure their freedom Peak action and story, must watch!

100 1

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

3/ Sentenced to be a Hero A dark fantasy where convicts are sentenced to be heros for their misdeeds! With the same director behind Mushoku Tensei, and Studio Kai behind the reigns, I'm excited to see how these 12 ep come together! Might have to finally grab the LN!

110 1

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

2/ Chained Solider S2 A combat harem anime where MC Yuuki forms a "slave" contract with Kyouka, leader of the 7th Anti-Demon Unit, unlocking his hidden Shuuki abilities. High-stakes action blended with hilarious, fanservice-filled situations—classic genre fun!

1/ Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 Of course, I already seen Episode 1 and 2 via the JJK Execution movie! MAPPA studio never disappoints with their action animation sequences, and they managed to explain whats going on without pausing the combat! I'll be locked in.

(4/X) The Eminence in Shadow LN Vol 5 picks up right where the upcoming Lost Echoes movie ends! Vol 4 was insane Cid's classic chuuni vibes shine, blissfully unaware his accidental moves are shaping the world around him's fate. The anime has been practically 1:1 with the LN!

Nightfall @nightfallkun.bsky.social · 02/01/2026

(3/X) The Rising of the Shield Hero Naofumi's my kind of guy—gets dealt a shit sandwich on arrival, but his no-BS attitude, maxing every shield skill & tool, and standoffish persona? Absolute gold! Loved the anime; can't wait to dive into the LN for all those juicy details!!

Finally pulled Lynae at 74 pulls after the 50/50 loss (149 pulls total). I also pulled her signature weapon at 70 pulls (built up pity during Chisa's weapon banner). Hopefully Wuthering Waves shows me some grace with Mornye, cause history shows I don't have the luck for it lol

(2/X) Trapped in a Dating Sim (Mobuseka) Began this series laughing at Leon's past-life mess, but once he leverages his otome-game encyclopedic knowledge after reincarnation? Absolute force! Hilarious anime (S2 incoming), and pumped for the deeper details in the LNs.

(1/X) Arifureta Not starting fresh this year—but finally finishing Volume 13! Hajime is an absolute GOAT The cast is fantastic If the anime hooked you even a little, the LNs blow it out of the water. Highly recommend

I'm a huge sucker for isekai where the MC is a smartass, fully aware of their OP power, and flips the hero trope on its head. I self-insert hard—these chaotic personalities feel right at home for me. This year, I'm deep-diving into the light novels for a few favorites! A thread:

Final day of 24 Days of Toradora! *spoiler clip* Honestly, the last episodes are a ride! Ryuji and Taiga decide to become the best versions of themselves in order to get what they truly want! Always a splendid rom com to rewatch, and will definitely watch it again in 2026!

Day 23 of 24 Days of Toradora!! A lot of this episode centers around how no one is really being honest about their feelings, and comes to a head when Kushieda finds out Takasu lied to Taiga about who resuced her 👀🍿 Tomorrow, I will watch the final two episode conclusion!

Day 22 of 24 Days of Toradora! Today, I did another mini-marathon of episodes 20-22! Frustrations, misunderstandings and truths are starting to spill out. Hiding the truth is never easy, especially from yourself. Episode 22 also has one of Ami's coldest lines! 😆
