I always thought VAR was there to stop the howlers (“clear and obvious errors”). It seems to have turned into a quest for decision making perfection, at odds with the flow of the beautiful game. Anything over a minute or two of analysis and the on field decision stands. Simples! 😎 🍒

I don’t think it was a red card. It certainly wasn’t a “clear and obvious error” that needed overturning. The ref and VAR conspired to ruin what had been a great game to that point . Shit housery aside thought Wolves were decent, and should have more than enough in be in prem next season.

France has not overtaken us in the last few years. UK is never going to compete in terms of scale with US and China. There is however much to be optimistic about with regards to the UK and our AI capability. We a lot to offer the world.
