prologue, chapter 2 and 3 illustrations from my second book in TTFV: Catalysts [2024] #thetalesfromveynekan #dragons #xenofiction

A black-and-white digital illustration of a striped dragon sitting down in a cavern. A lantern on the wall behind him faintly illuminates the room, and the shoulder of a hippogryph stands on the left edge of the art.

A black-and-white digital illustration of a spotted dragon and gryphon-like creature looking up at the sky behind them. Past a mountain cliff and coniferous trees, smoke rises from the horizon.

The same spotted dragon and gryphon creature sitting side-by-side in a cave and looking at each other, surrounded by a sketchy, black border of stone silhouettes.

"This is not the first we've met." [2019] #art #unicorns #thetalesfromveynekan #ocart

A digital illustration of a unicorn in varying purples, the dappled unicorn casts a heavy shadow over the bright suggestion of grass. He stands with his neck curved and arched, angling his horn like a lance. his eye is dark red, standing out against the shadows. Behind the unicorn rages a midnight-colored jagged outline forming into the silhouette of another equid's head beside his. Cyan lines the edges and splits off in lightning patterns. The remaining background is a solid gradient of dark-to-warm raspberry tones.

The Tales From Veynekan Book #3: Up In Flames is now released in eBook and paperback! The Tales From Veynekan is my fantasy xenofiction series following mythical animals and their struggle to live on despite the continent becoming forsaken in the eyes of their own Guardian. ⬇️

The digital book cover illustration of "The Tales From Veynekan: Up In Flames". A striped dragon cranes to look over his shoulders facing the viewer, wings spread and airborne with a harsh glow illuminating the membranes orange. Lower in the foreground is a giant white griffon with a golden beak staring up intensely at the dragon. A black mountain stands in the background against the starless twilight sky. There is a mauve, decorative border in each corner of the cover with filigree patterns.

The back of the book's cover. The giant griffon's wings and crest feathers are seen in the foreground under deep blue and amber shades and highlights. A long-bodied dragon is seen in the distance flying forwards. The text reads: "Flames rages forth, the corrupted Guardian wrought his fury through the isles and woods. Finiir, Obsidian, and Ben search for the last Catalyst, hidden beneath the volcano.
The tarnished throne hangs above Finiir's head, chained to its wretched legacy. He balds at the Catalyst that destiny decreed he must wield.
The weight of their world rests in their claws.
Their clash is nigh. Inevitable. Veynekan shall be changed irreversibly, no matter the outcome."
Below the text is a white loop of filigree with wing patterns beneath it and a link to the author's website artof-fjt.weebly.com

A photo from within the paperback of the book. At the top is the marker for "Chapter 17" with the black-and-white illustration of the giant griffon below it. The griffon leers forward with its head bowed and wings raised, cast in stark shadows. Flames rage up from below the beast.

I THINK, hopefully, that any copies downloaded of the remaster while it's free won't retract themselves once that period is up. it yours 🕊️

once this change is made, the current publication of TFQ will no longer be in print as paperbacks but the digital version will be free to read and stay that way

TTFV book 3 will release first, but I have been and am almost done with essentially a remaster of book 1 The Flaming Queen. No scenes, story elements or intention within the text have been changed. I want it to reflect my current writing. THE REMASTER EBOOK WILL BE FREE FOR 7 DAYS ONCE RELEASED 👍

it's really sad in totk how they took yunobo out back and shot him [2024] #art #totk #tloz

digital art of Yunobo from The Legend of Zelda facing forwards and holding a Boulder Breaker, many liberties were taken with his design. he has two short horns and spines along the sides of his head and a more therapsid-like build with two pairs of small tusks. faintly darker spots pattern his arms while the spots on his side and knees are white in the center. he has a short, blunt-spined tail with stripes that gradually whiten toward the end.

This video clip of a swan landing on a lake is best enjoyed with AUDIO ON. Mute swans (Cygnus olor) are among the heaviest flying birds & require a long runway, which means we get the majestic approach, a few furious moments of webbed feet slapping on water, then the majestic splashdown.
