Booker delivers his opinions at a prestigious film awards ceremony. #NSWYM

Booker leans over a podium with a smug expression, saying "Live action is something adults without imaginations enjoy, and kids have to endure (am I right?)"

Apparently these guys just exist to perform my dad jokes, now #NSWYM

Booker leans over the table exclaiming, "And I said 'meter maid'? I didn't know she HAD a maid!" He looks like he's finding his joke very entertaining.

Kyler sits nearby with an unimpressed expression, saying "Uh-huh..."

I'd been wanting to do a WYM version of basil-mage's pic ever since I saw it, because that image encapsulates one of the story's themes. Original: bsky.app/profile/basi... #NSWYM

A diagram of a man in his late twenties with a deadpan expression, and a small cartoony humanoid creature wearing a propeller hat and holding a lollipop. Two arrows point from one figure to the other, giving the impression of an ongoing cycle.

Under the man, the text reads, "I need to lock in and prove that I am capable. I need to be taken seriously."

Under the purple guy, the text reads, "I need to stay silly and whimsical, lest I lose the very essence of myself."

Remember I drew my absolute waifu, Rossa, for this DTIYS back on the 6th? Dex extended the deadline soooo... excuse to draw my absolute husbando as a second entry!! 🥰💖💖 Rico is the DGiacomo sexyman, I'm sure you all agree... 😏🫶✨ #ocsky #notmyoc #dgiacomo #rico

Half body drawing of Rico for Dex McKinnery's comic DGiacomo! I don't know if he's a fan of jazz but he's got the hands for it! He's also kindly faced sideways and let me draw his lovely shape. 😊💖

My entry!! I drew Mela, I love oversized sweaters so much hehe. I love your version of these characters Dex!!

Bust drawing of Mela from Dgiacomo! She’s posed with her oversized sweater hands on either side of her face. She’s got a big grin on her face. She’s also got on a white baseball hat. The background is super simple blue with dots.

My schoolfriend and I would have a good laugh at the sentence mash-ups that resulted if you made a combo in the middle of the character catchphrases in vs mode. "You're wasting my world" was the original "Release the bogus", and one of our inside jokes. #NSJournal

BOOKER-LANCHE INCOMING! Here's a gallery of all the doodles I included in the backs of signed WYM comics... #NSWYM #OCArt [1/5]

Booker, a small purple toon-like humanoid with a big nose, sitting in an oversized scarf. He is surrounded by scattered leaves and happily clutching a cup of hot cocoa.

Booker in a tea towel cape, grinning and attempting a fencing stance with a wooden spoon.

Booker sitting on a pillow and concentrating hard while playing a micro handheld game device.

"Ride, Thorsley!" yells Booker, while perched emphatically on top of a plastic rocking horse.

A little too deep of an introspection, there. #NSWYM

Small, purple toon-like humanoid Booker is having a chat with Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Cookie Monster insists he isn't real, to which Booker admits he isn't either. This fact then hits him pretty hard and he has an existential crisis, which causes him to look traumatised, while Cookie Monster's puppeteers peer out from under the table and ask if he's okay.
