#ScbwiDrawThis illustration for "Tropical", inspired on Horacio Quiroga's tale "El loro pelado" (The Featherless Parrot). The naive Parrot is inviting the tiger for dinner: tasty tea with milk, but the tiger has other dinner plans in mind. #scbwi #scbwiillustrators @scbwi.bsky.social

During July the #scbwiDrawThis word was Jam. This word has more than one meaning in English, but their equivalent in Spanish (neutral and chilean) too! Here some equivalent: Traffic Jam = Embotellamiento = Taco I hope you enjoy my dad jokes 🤭 #scbwi #scbwiIllustrators @scbwi.bsky.social

I just noticed I didn't show you the March's word of #scbwiDrawThis "Kaleidoscope". This was a very playful experiment, I did a little animation of it, you can see it in my portfolio "sketches" section: nicolealmendrada.art/sketchbook

🌊 Sea Creature 🌊 This is May’s word for #ScbwiDrawThis Sometimes in children’s books is important to talk about difficult themes. This illustration is inspired on Kshamenk, an Orca whale who lived for 33 years in captivity in Argentina. #scbwi #scbwiillustrator

Today is #PortfolioDay ✨ I literally had worked in this piece since 2025, I had the idea watching little mushrooms coming out from the moss after rain 🌱 even little baby snails appeared🩷 so, enough is enough and here it is. Hope you like it. #illustration #kidlitartist
