Today's "Random Game Saturday" is Cutie Suzuki no Ringside Angel, a women's wrestling game for the Mega Drive! If the cover looks weird, it's because it's got a lenticular effect between two poses for Cutie Suzuki. BONUS: Adorable sprite art right on the box

Okay everyone told me yesterday that 3rd Style was a *terrible* place to start with Beatmania IIDX; these are the other PS2 titles I have, are any of them a better place to start?
Beatmania IIDX 15 DJ Toopers, Beatmania IIDX 6th Style, and Beatmania IIDX 11 IIDX RED, in that order

Today's quite late "Random Game Saturday" is Beatmania IIDX 3rd Style, the first IIDX game for the PlayStation 2! This game is *hard*; it's my introduction to IIDX and have been playing occasionally for a few weeks, got my first credits just today (three songs without a game over)
Beatmania IIDX 3rd Style. The lighting is poor. For someone who takes as many pictures as Nicole, you'd think that eventually she'd become good at it

Today's "Random Game Saturday" is Moon Patrol for the Atari 2600! I love Moon Patrol, and I think this is about as good of a port as you could expect given the hardware; they got the music!

Nice! But does yours have the classic "spine spent too much time in a sunlit window" Japanese used game aesthetic

Today's late Random Game Saturday is this copy of Ranma 1/2: Chougi Ranbu Hen! It's an odd one, because it has a full box and manual, but the bootleg cartridge swaps between playing either this game or Super Bomberman; I wrote a small blog post on it way back in 2019 nicole.express/2019/a-stran...

Today's Random Game Saturday is at my wife's request, Space Channel 5! A game with such style that I don't even care that I'm terrible at it, and also one whose lenticular cover makes it hard to photograph.
Space Channel 5 for Sega Dreamcast. The picture is very reflective and the two states of the lenticular appear to blur a bit, making it look like Ulala only has one leg

The combination of using maritime borders and county lines means that we get to see Long Cohasset
A cropped version of the above image. To the lower right of the word "Boston", we can see Cohasset, a small town which happens to be an exclave of Norfolk County, with a long segment going way out into the ocean, touching Boston's sea border, though the two municipalities are nowhere near bordering each other on land

This "Random Game Saturday" game is Devil World for the Famicom! Never released in the US because satanic cults were very powerful (or so I'm told) and would've opposed it. This one has "Miyamoto" written on the back; though Shigeru Miyamoto did work on this, I strongly doubt it's his signature lol

wait rosetta is going to become exclusive to some unspecified games? that's... incredibly obnoxious like i get apple removing backwards compatibility but if you're keeping it anyway for some games
Rosetta is currently available for any Mac with Apple silicon, and it will remain available through the forthcoming macOS 27 — the next major macOS release. Starting with computers using macOS 28, Rosetta functionality will be available only for certain older, unmaintained games that rely on Intel-based frameworks. Find out which macOS you’re using.

Today's Random Game Saturday is "Super Mario Bors" for the Nintendo Family Computer! This was some kind of propaganda to try to encourage young Japanese men to become plumbers by portraying it as a glamorous lifestyle where you rescue princesses
