It is so very beautiful. The amber room was amazing, the grounds beautiful and we heard a trio playing in what I think was the orangery? The corridor with the photos and information about the restoration work was fascinating and astonishing.

We were fortunate to visit in 2010 as part of a longer trip to St Petersburg. I loved the contrast between the Peterhof and Tsarskoe Selo.

Thanks! I swim year round without a wetsuit. But they will be short dips at that temperature for sure! Swimming in Scotland is always amazing if...brisk 🤣

Yep. Came back from Germany with a boot full of beer, wine, Schokoküsschen, Senf, Maggi and baking things like rum aroma for Stollen baking.

And here in UK Aldi, we have very dodgy sounding crisp flavours...pils flavoured and various sausage flavours. Sadly, good quality wurst, particularly Nurembergers, and a decent selection of beer are in short supply!

Swim weekend in Wales with my amazing swim buddies. Five swims in 30 hours! Llyn, sandy beach, river, pebbly beach, waterfall. Bliss!

Omg Lion's Mane stings are sooo painful! I had an encounter with one on Bute some years ago and it hurt for about 48 hours. Very ouch.

I love bog cotton! We have a huge peat bog in N Shropshire and the bog cotton was just coming out a couple of weeks ago.
