So now that I'd had my new OC's designs I did some shoujo style studies for them so I was playing around with proportions and detail density but I could tell I wasnt very comfortable yet I didnt have a proper character sheet, some good stuff learnt though

This was at the time their final designs coming from the sets of explorations and iterations coming from beforehand. Foreshadowing on them getting an optimising redesign like 5 months after this again to their actual current designs after a lot of foundational practice.

These are the iterations I went with my OCs and i polled on insta to see what people found appealing, ultimately it didnt necessarily dictate my final choice but I really liked seeing what appeals to people. There's a mix of classics here and m,id iterations of them along the process that worked

Alongside my OC Lynn is also her "partner" Cyrus, a lot of his designs are definitely influenced by her pretty directly especially to go with the idea of contrast between them

Right up to my last set of morning figures I started redesigning Lynn and Cyrus my OCs around last September again following a momentum of artistic energy. I tried a few variants here in this exploration sketch page to see what vibes I might want and potentially different hairstyles for her #OC

Morning Figures day 21, 23, 25, 28. This was when I was starting to really experiment and try out stuff, slowly leading up to me doing a very very nearby redesign of my OCs during this period

Morning figures + Studies day 16, 17, 18, 20, this was before i properly redesigned my OCs still so Cyrus still has the silly tail

Last year September I started figure drawing for 1hr+ every morning including studies to up my fundies. While I'm excited to get to what my work looks like now, but I'll be posting some notable ones from then to lead up to present work. These were days 14 and 15

This is my OC Lynn, she's a hero who doesn't know she's dating a villain (Him coming later). I forgot to post this here #OC #Characterdesign

Followup from before another still old but more refined sheet for both Lynn and Cyrus. Batch posting is bad but man I wanna post more recent work instead on this platform. Maybe that's the fuck it we ball direction instead of the slow old art build up to actual present work.

Not too long after my prev post, 2 years ago i did yet another redesign of my OCs Lynn and Cyrus, a hero and villain dating each other. This felt like there was some refinement in my drawings more, but clearly still lacking full solid foundations. (we'll get to that in the present)

Another old one but I thought I'd post this mock up comic cover based off my OCs Lynn and Cyrus. Gonna schedule a lot of art. I'm very apprehensive about using my work on LoL even if trying to start on a new platform the growth can feel a bit demotivating #lovebirds #ocart

I guess I should start posting the start of one of my first redesigns of some old OCs. This was their first redesign since 2021 Valor and Reave being the alter egos of the two characters in the second image, thing is they dont realise theyre dating each other #lovebirds #ocart

WIP new character sheet for Lynn after more than a month of figure drawing and studies, and more than several months of not drawing let alone personal work. She’s fun to draw so I’m pleased with this latest iteration of her. #ocart #lovebirds

Old piece I never finished. Based off a weird dream involving a hunter resting in a forest clearing and my cat who I didn't get to say goodbye to visiting me in my dreams.

I've had 4 different friends now independently find comparisons of my OCs or art feeling to the new Gundam characters, which is a more flattering point than anything. So I'm gonna repost my OCs that are in perpetual redesign. A heroine and villain dating each other but they dont know it. WIP costume

Gonna post some of these characters over the next few days. Old project. These guys run a hot spring for adventurers going on their "training arc" to slay the evil demon villain of the world. However they have the previous evil demon villain queen working for them for now.

Im paralysed with what to repost from bird app to butterfly app, so heres an old fan design i did for LoL from a million years ago. Might as well start posting em even if its older since many here might not have seen my work

None of these are perfect but some traditional sketches I was happy-ish with during LBX. What an amazing experience seeing other artists again and learning to love art outside the industry

Hey Everyone at Bluesky, I'm Nick. I was a concept artist and lead at Riot Games for a while. Nowadays though I draw a lot of my OCs, Oshawotts, nerd out on cooking and work on miniatures! Here's some of my art ✨ #OCart #conceptart #characterdesign #Artist #noai #manga #gameart
