Day 1 and Day 2 meta breakdowns here in Las Vegas. Blue Belcher, Simic Neoform, and Izzet Metalcraft are the big movers while Jeskai Blink, Eldrazi Tron and Azorius Control underperformed.

Kid is obsessed with Rubble from Paw Patrol (going as him for Halloween) so tried my first “advanced” pumpkin carving tonight. Not horrible. Far from good though.

Three 🏆 decks from Early Access event tonight. UB (4-0) was the sweetest. GW and UW (4-1) were bread and butter aggro shells. Birds were key to GW. Unstable Experiment was very strong today.

We had to say goodbye to our favorite tuxedo cat, Matilda, tonight. She lived a good 15-year-life, seven of which I knew her. Telling our kid where she was when we got home was about the toughest thing I’ve had to do.

Finished The Cosmere with Wind and Truth and The Sunlit Man (though I should have read Sunlit before WaT). Might as well start this now.

Doom 2099 is a sweet card (that will definitely get nerfed). This deck gave me the most success, didn’t like the Arishem version. Hopefully Doom stays playable when he gets nerfed.

Still learning Pygmalien, but this build was busted. Had diamond Longbow on start of Day 4.

Got my first Ranked 10-winner with stock Poison, though the enchanted Holster was nasty. Unlocked Pygmalion and got a nice one in my second game with him. Also, landed my first non-bronze prize from a chest - Gold Star Hero Dooley!
