At Berryhill early morning there were 3 Whinchat still, green woodpecker and a redstart. Some of the stonechats appear to have moved on with just 6 in view #staffsbirds

44 sp in Stoke best being garden dart (first in garden since 2002), small ranunculus, 2 rd pearl, ot pearl, cb sallow and gold spot. C. 50 wasps didn’t help

A week’s holiday in Poole, Dorset produced 2 moth lifers despite the cold clear skies every night - ringed carpet and great prominent 🙂. Back up cast included maidens blush, streamer, 2 slow worms, bluethroat, firecrests, wt eagle, dartfords, whimbrels, med gulls etc.
