The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook by Matt Dinniman Full speed ahead for a train-filled maze like no other! The DCC series continues to up the stakes while still keeping the insane humor and ridiculously fun quirks. This entry is definitely among the most entertaining reads for me.

Blazing through DCC book 3 and this is one of the funniest things I’ve read as of late.

Soyjack Oonie getting overhyped about the singing rocks. They aren't singing anymore, but at least they're still there.

My Sister’s Grave by Robert Dugoni If the punishment fits the crime, then does it matter how justice was served? Could you leave a case closed if questions remain unanswered? I hustled through this read in less than a week, so I’d say that means I enjoyed it. Felt like an intense crime tv show.

Not that anyone was wondering, but no. Ain't no way I'm making another Bionicle x Avengers trailer parody. That ship has sailed and left me drowning.

Wow, they really moved fast locking down Inde for an MCU role. I hope they have good plans, and they allow her enough freedom to entertain other projects.

The Pokémon Bank situation is wild. For me, it’s not the biggest deal, but the root idea that this essentially cuts off the old ways of interconnectivity among games is sad. I wonder how much money TPC just bagged from all the people scrambling to transfer up mons to Home.

This current Lego CMF hunt landscape has gotta be one of the most infuriating things. Scalper-culture or not, finding anything aside from the commons in a physical store is impossible, granted one can even find a store that carries them.

IMO this wasn’t as compelling as DCC. It definitely had great moments, but some of the key elements and hyperfixations were too much for my taste. I’d still jump in for a sequel if it’s in the works.

Operation Bounce House by Matt Dinniman Grab your friends and prepare to defend your home, because it’s war like you’ve never seen! Fueled by bigotry and capitalism, and sold as a video game! Nothing wrong with that, right?

Brand New Day indeed! Fun time seeing Spider-Man back on the big screen for another adventure. I think they made a worthy story to follow up everything that’s happened to MCU Spidey.

We got to the gaff about Ekimu (not) being a “Toa of light” and the two of us just looked at each other like ‘Did they really just happen?!’ and burst out laughing. Bittersweet, but I do miss those days. I don’t have many moments reveling in Bionicle geekdom irl like that.

Ironically, one of my fondest memories of Bionicle G2 was watching The Journey to One in its entirety with my friend on the day the final episodes dropped aka the day the cancellation was announced. We still had a fun time despite knowing it was the end.

Are you sorry for what you did, for who you became; for what you lost and can't be ever again? Would you go back to erase it, if you knew you'd forget the lesson? Does your pain overrule that which you induced? Did you think it would be that easy?

010

Oonie @nickocng.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

Did you mistake running away for moving on? Did you simply let time pass, and your promise go empty? Did you think you could go back without the weight of your mistakes? Did guilt kill your obsession, or just dampen it?

The Continental Affair by Christine Mangan It’s no surprise everyone’s running from something. When you have the chance to be anyone, do anything, who knows what you might find. I was expecting something more akin to Catch Me If You Can, but this was interesting nonetheless.

I already knew going through last season that there have been complications with the line, like cancelled sets and now this, so it’s hard not to wonder if the theme is nearing the end. Would be a shame, because I think with time it’s slowly found its footing.

010

Oonie @nickocng.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

The Dream Chasers finding crystal creatures to pair with and protect is a fun premise. As for why the Nightmare King-Emperor is on the hunt- lackluster to say the least. Especially given the world building from s3. Honestly feels like backpedaling.

Oonie @nickocng.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Lego Dreamzzz “season” 4 is…something. It’s painfully obvious they cut the budget since they resorted to shorts for this wave of sets. For what they are, they’re not terrible. Decent way to show off/sell toys, but far from an actual plot. There was definitely potential for a full length show.

The twists this season were great, and there were more than a couple. Without spoiling much, I’ll say they were unexpected, but didn’t feel like they were shoehorned in just to upset the status quo.
