This type of rain in October is so good to help up the moisture content of the soil. That’s key to a good runoff, even if the snowfall is low. When the soil is saturated going into winter, less snowmelt is absorbed in the spring and more runoff reaches the GSL and reservoirs.

One thing about Copenhagen is that there's tons of dense housing but you *never* find it fronting a busy road with cars racing past, which describes about 90% of the apartments in the US. They manage to make it feel tucked away, private, cozy. (These are all from Sluseholmen, my dream neighborhood.)

I don't care if this is a bunch of high school football players in Idaho. Writing “Let her hang from a ligh(t) post and let the birds pick at her brain for days” and “(You) think Cornell was bad just wait for us” should be grounds for immediate expulsion and charges filed.

It's why super broad upzoning eliminates corruption. Developers LOVE Nimbys because they keep all the competitors out of the market. When home building is liberalized, shit starts getting scary.

When me and my sisters were young, the three of us lived in an up and down duplex with our single mom in about 800 sq ft. That same neighborhood allows frats and sororities, but not duplexes now.

This was fine in 1950.
A duplex in a single family zone. Setback 10-12 ft from sidewalk, closer than every other home on the street.

The park authority could generate more revenue, first by simply allowing permits for food vendors. But also, why not just keep the flood gate open and let nature start reclaiming the pond? See what the creek does on its own w/out spending anything? www.sltrib.com/news/2026/09...

I give Utah a B+ overall. Some mistakes, only one penalty. Biggest improvement as the game went on was the o line. RBs are really good. D line got better too. My biggest concern is the secondary.

This is a much improved connection from this mall to the community. It’s not a great design, but considering it didn’t exist even 6 months ago, connecting an aging shopping center to a park and the neighborhood is a win. But also nearly all the retail here closed at 6 pm?
