"I struggled for quite a lot of my life to fit in where I wanted to fit-a group, a class in school, in relationships. I think everywhere," says Emmanuel Macchia. He and costar Valentin Campagne won Best Actor at Cannes for their roles in 'Coward,' about WWI soldiers. vman.com/article/vman...
"I was in school, [where I was studying] architecture, landscape, and gardening. I didn't know if I wanted to do that anymore-I wasn't happy with those studies. I realized I wanted to help people, possibly with the environment, and to do something with the arts. I wanted to combine all those things. I also wanted to do social work as a volunteer," says Emmanuel Macchia | photo by Alaro Beamud Cortés"We weren't expecting it. And also, I don't know if you saw the actors who could have won the [Best Performance for an Actor] award at Cannes. There was Rami Malek, Javier Bardem, Vincent Cassel, and Karim Leklou—and then there was us, two guys who were 22 and 23 years old," says Emmanuel Macchia of winning Best Actor award at Cannes with 'Coward' costar Valentin Campagne | photo by Alaro Beamud Cortés
"I felt I grew up a lot during the shooting, during the whole experience. I can imagine how those people grew up because it was a real event. We were only in the trenches for eight or ten hours, then we could go back to the hotel, sleep well, and know we weren't going to die. For those kids, it would have been brutal," says Emmanuel Macchia on playing Pierre, a young soldier in a WWI camp theater, in 'Coward' | photo by Alaro Beamud Cortés"I think everyone finds their way if they never stop. I would also tell my younger self to embrace who he is. Like I said on stage when I won the award, you have to love yourself, accept yourself, love other people, and accept them too. I think that's the best thing ever. A lot of times during the shooting, I kept thinking, "I'm doing this for my younger self." For me, when I was a child. I know he would have been happy-more than happy. He would have been amazed< says Emmanuel Macchia of his first acting role in 'Coward' | photo by Alaro Beamud Cortés

Tom Ford creative director Haider Ackermann showed plenty of suits and casual wear for Spring 2027. But it's the men's briefs and thongs getting buzz as collections explores the tension between what we reveal and what we leave to the imagination. www.thepinknews.com/2026/10/02/t...
Tom Ford’s Spring 2027: The clothes projected a quiet confidence, and with it, an undeniable sexuality."Seduction is the pillar on which this house is built. This time I felt like pushing it further, closer to danger," says Haider Ackermann, Tom Ford creative director "There is something deeply sexual in the body that reveals itself without offering itself. In a gesture that feels spontaneous and perilous at once," says says Haider Ackermann, Tom Ford creative director "Sexuality does not need to shout. It can be silent and powerful: a tremor under the skin. Fragility, likewise, is not the opposite of strength. Sometimes one can look like the other," says Haider Ackermann, Tom Ford creative director

"Every song is a timeline of the year that I got sober," says Playgirl coverman Orville Peck of his new album 'Mule' (out Sept 18). "As I start to get clarity, I find not only more references to my alternative, indie, and bluegrass inspirations...coming back to myself." playgirl.com/features/orv...
"A mule is a mix between a horse and a donkey; they’re kind of stuck between two worlds trying to figure out which one they are. That spoke to me. When I was struggling so hard and so deep in my addiction, I was completely overworked and stubborn in my ways, like a mule," says Orville Peck of his new album title. | Photo by Anka Garbowska for Playgirl"The best secret favor I did for myself unknowingly was putting the mask on. It was at a time when my focus was just to make art. Giving myself a little bit of armor allowed me to write as vulnerably as I do. Putting that mask on saved my life and helped me flourish not just as an artist but as a person," says Orville Peck of his new album title. | Photo by Anka Garbowska for Playgirl"There are two different faces we all wear. Please excuse the ironic pun about me wearing a mask, but that’s part of the human experience. There’s the side of us everyone sees, and we allow everyone to see to some extent, which is curated or edited or held back, as it probably should be. But I think that there is a dark struggle for all of us, no matter what that is, and no matter how obvious or how big or how terrible, it’s all relative," says Orville Peck. | Photo by Anka Garbowska for Playgirl "I think holding back and having people be confused and have some interpretation is healthy. It helps people enjoy the experience more and to have a critical thinking mind when it comes to art," says Orville Peck.| Photo by Anka Garbowska for Playgirl

"I don’t care about doing big movies or leads. I’m just going to do stuff I find interesting," says Robert Pattinson on recalibrating his mindset. This year he's in 'The Drama,' 'The Odyssey,' 'Primetime,' 'Dune: Part Three' and promoting Jaeger-LeCoultre watches. www.gq.com/story/robert...

"It was very difficult for me to break out of the character. Many days I would get home, lie down on the sofa, and I couldn't relax. We have to scratch the earth so they come out. Based on Buzz Bissinger’s 2022 book 'The Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II,' a new film follows college football players during WWII before the Battle of Okinawa. Cast includes Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson & Tom Francis. www.esquire.com/entertainmen...
"What we’re aspiring to do with 'The Mosquito Bowl' is take the audience on an immersive, visceral experience through the eyes of these four young men into the realities of war, the horrors of war—without politicizing it," says director Peter Berg. The true-life Mosquito Bowl took place in December 1944, and a devastating number of its key players died shortly thereafter.Nicholas Galitzine as quarterback John McLaughry, team captain at Brown University, in 'The Mosquito Bowl.'
He was very educated, very intelligent. He was a quarterback and a running back, and he played defense back then. Everyone played all three positions. He was madly in love with his girlfriend, Jane, who is played in the film by Ella Newton.
Bill Skarsgård as University of Wisconsin tackle Bob Baumann in 'The Mosquito Bowl.'
Like the other ballplayers who went to war, he thought he understood what joining the military meant prior to getting off the ship and trying to get onto the island of Tarawa. After 90 seconds of combat on Tarawa, he realized that it really was much different than he imagined it, that it was brutal.
Tom Francis as David Schreiner, a defensive end and captain of the Wisconsin team in 'The Mosquito Bowl.'
He was really smart and madly in love with his fiancée Odette [played by Lola Bond], who he deeply regretted not marrying before he left. He was constantly talking about his unborn children and at a certain point during his experience in Tarawa realized that might not happen.
