Agree 100%. I should have at least been a VO channel. The amount of trouble it would have saved me is unreal. Unfortunately, face-to-camera channels do better. I probably wouldn't have been as successful if I had gone VO.

The sweet spot for me, creatively, is about 7-8 minutes. Whenever I *do* make those, I always feel good about it. It feels like I put the right amount of explanation into a narrow question. It's focused. Shorter than 5 minutes and I haven't said enough. Longer than 10 and it seems like fluff to me.

I tried to learn version 2.x years ago and it was very counterintuive. Tried again with 3.x and had a much easier time. Blender is up to 4.x now with new useful features like geometry nodes. Overall, it still feels like building a house with a pocket knife, but you can't beat free.

A lot of it is super tedious, but the output is amazing for free software. I only use it when I feel like the visual requires it. (But Nebula recently got me access to professional textures, so this time they're going to look almost photo-real.)
