Supervisor Lin is impervious. Not just to damage from a laser which splits ancient mineral from primordial stone; but to the physical plane. Lasers? Nuh. Hands? Cannot catch. A set piece where they’re supposed to die? Nope. T-pose.

I killed (sorry, ‘knocked out’) a character with the mining laser mid conversation with Supervisor Lin. Lin didn’t miss a line in their scripted dialogue with a prone body.

Trying Starfield again since it came out, its opening gives Doom 3 with-the-gamma-turned-up-way-too-high vibes.

007 Last Light seems to have suffered studio interference with the writing. It started strong, then… let’s just say there was a poetic, satisfying reason they could have used for Bond’s digit’s, instead it was ‘he arrived late’.

If I was in pricing, I’d want a $110 price tag for the game - OR it can be all yours for $9.99 a month, forever!

Got a new story up - with hand drawn artwork by me! Rubber Duck Coding: It's Dea's first day at a new coding gig and he screws up. Badly. Armed only with a rubber duck, he needs to work out how to stop billions of people from being affected by a global bug he created.

Rubber Duck Coding
‘I think I accidentally deployed code to production.’ Dea said to the rubber duck. ‘This could be bad.’ The rubber duck sat inanimate. ‘I should tell someone.’ The rubber duck agreed.

A great incentive for people to leave reviews is to read one or two five star reviews at the end of an episode. The Weekly Planet does it, so does Thumb Cramps. It’s gotten me, a long time listener of both, to actually rate and review the shows.

When you value capital, the value of a person is measured in capital. If you own a lot of assets, you have a lot more importance relative to someone with few. It’s just the system working as designed.

Before long it will be bots buying crap from other bots, who sell their crap to yet more bots. Soon they’ll be managing the inventory and finances and making deals with one another. Modern AI is going to phase out C-Suite executives.

Given these tech businesses can’t meaningfully grow their user bases anymore (saturation), and the ad revenues just aren’t there like they used to be (market wisdom), it’s got me wondering: are AI products just well-marketed vapour-ware to get investor money?

What’s the logic here? Generate 8,000 e-books to sell on Amazon for like a dollar each? Put them all on Kindle Unlimited to clog up a server somewhere? Seems like a scam to burn investor money imo

Star Fleet have to tie it all together to make DS9 work: Commander Sisko is a broken man 3 years after the death of his wife, Odo (aka New Vegas own Mr House) Alex Macks their way onto a ship to mess up their systems, Quark wants to bail but can’t because of ransom, and the CMO is a xenomorph

That two-part first episode goes so incredibly hard. Character introduction through believable conflict; a station no one wants to be on, everyone hates everyone else because of race or politics, and there’s a space anomaly which could be a guy.
