New petition: Fund new reservoirs to increase future water supplies
England faces growing pressure on its water supplies due to factors like population growth, climate change and rising demand. The Government estimates 5 billion litres more water per day will be needed by 2050. Substantial additional water storage capacity will be needed to meet this challenge.

In the league table of easier trade: A FTA is surpassed by a customs union with another; surpassed by a single market with another. UK will never compensate its Brexit losses unless it agrees a customs union inside a single market with another minimum 500m consumers.. 20 miles off shore

If these facilities are ever used for what they were built for the UK will have border chaos with less choice and higher price of goods hitting businesses and public hard. If not used without joining SM we are an open border smugglers paradise. Both are awful options compared to SM/EU membership.

Post Brexit deregulation (allowing lower standards for us plebs and even grander profit margins for the owning elite) is in full swing. It can be stopped or can get much worse. We have to let the public know where we could be headed and hold govt to account. It will affect us all if we do nothing.

Time to start preparing the framework for a second referendum. Focus needs to be on realistic options (EU/EFTA etc pre negotiated) and effective communication of accurate information in the campaigns. Misinformation must be called out. Huge task but vital for Britain's future.

If we sign a trade deal with the US that lowers standards of imported food we all suffer, apart from those who can afford to eat organic/home grown etc (v expensive). EU/SM standards are high. US standards are not. On this clip, a US farmer explains the difference v well. x.com/LizWebsterSB...

This sort of information needs to be platformed properly. While we all continue to struggle to pay bills, rent or mortgages and keep ourselves afloat financially, part of the cause of all this is UK specific and solvable. No one wants to be poorer. Real world impacts of Brexit are increasingly 1/2

Tariffs are bad for both importer and exporter as they make things more expensive. As with most wars, a trade war has many more victims than beneficiaries. If Trump wanted to help US businesses he would be surely pushing for tariff free access.

Another example of the complete failure of the remain campaign to highlight and explain the huge positives of Freedom of Movement (of goods, services, people and capital). If what FOM is can be clarified, and untied from illegal migration from outside the EU, we will be in a different place IMO.

It's about time the British population had it explained to us what we have 'chosen' (although that was a detail free 'leave the EU'), and what our options are. Let's vote on the most popular Brexit option to get a majority on that and then have a second vote putting that option vs EU membership.

I suppose the question is- enough for who/what? If we put out the biggest fire first, we look at SM membership. Everything after that (CU etc) leaves us chasing what we had as an EU member state, which is IMO the best of the options. When the public have all options explained, what would we pick?

I wonder how many Brits realise that if they now travel from GB to EU27 or from EU27 back to GB with eg a food hamper &/or potted plants &/or highly valuable goods for others, without declaring them to an official at the border, they're now (since Brexit) committing a crime? 🤔
