My grandpa took me to see Jurassic Park at a drive-in when I was three or four, it's hazy. What I do remember is sleeping in my parents bed for the next month, convinced the raptors were coming to get me.

There are a handful of people (her adoptive brother & dad and her best friend, mainly) that Bonnie knows she can confide in when she's freaking out. She also takes a pill most nights to help her sleep without the nightmares.

That would be Chloe, better known by her supervillain moniker, Repent. No one's really sure what her deal is. She just shows up out of nowhere and picks fights with people who have unusual powers or tech, heroes and villains alike. Sometimes lethally. Then disappears just as quickly.

I don't think Bonnie doesn't know who she is, but she's still trying to figure out who to be, who even that is, and what the path looks like. How to get from Point A to Point B realistically, but the line in-between is a bit blurry and she's just taking it one day at a time.

Indeed! The deuteragonist (and Bonnie's crush), Lian, is bi. In my WIP fantasy trilogy, a bi character I can't disclose yet makes their first appearance in Book 2 as well.
