nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 05/11/2025The USA (and probably most countries to be honest) needs to pass a law making it illegal for any government official, officer, or representative to lie with severe consequences, with the exception of legitimate national security reasons (few and far between). I’m dreaming, but I’m sick of the lies. 020
nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 05/10/2025Anyone been to a US government website lately? I went to NMVTIS of all places and was greeted with this. Republicans control the executive, both legislative branches, and even the judiciary, but the “Democrats have shut down the government”. Unethical, probably illegal. 020

nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 13/04/2025Russia is a terrorist state! Any government that claims to follow rules of law and claims to be peace loving needs to be shouting this from the rooftops and all of the high places. Russia will not chance its disgraceful behavior until it is forced to do so. 020
nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 22/03/2025I don’t know who gets credit for putting this HLM quote together. It isn’t exactly accurate. For example, the word narcissistic wasn’t used, but it’s close enough otherwise. 010

nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 19/02/2025To any Ukrainian who might read this. I am so sorry. Donald Trump is a traitor to the USA, our friends and allies, democratic customs and values, and the rule of law. MAGA does not speak for all Americans. Trump is your enemy, but most Americans love and support you. Keep up the good fight. 1100

nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 08/12/2024The original numbers matching engine in my 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. It's 400 cubic inches, or 6.6 liters for the younger crowd and friends around the world of the metric persuasion. 230
nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 08/12/2024The original headliner of my 1968 Firebird 400. It is still very tight and looks great, but it is very brittle so I try not to touch it for fear I will poke my finger right through. 010

Original Walnut gear shift knob. Original 4-speed with console. Original floor mats and carpet. The carpet is worn in a spot up front by the gas pedal from the driver's foot. 020
nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Side view of my 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. This has redline tires, but this car was originally purchased with whiteline tires according to the original documentation. I might put whileline tires back on it when these wear out. Redlines seem to be really popular with classic car people. 030

nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Another view on delivery day. The driver was a very nice guy. I was very relieved when it was back on the ground. 020
nicholasbentley.bsky.social @nicholasbentley.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Delivery day of my new (57 year old) Verdoro Green 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. This car is highly original with numbers matching everything. It's a factory 4-speed car. All glass is still original including the front windshield without a chip or scratch, so I'm a bit paranoid to drive it. :) 010
