Because I work from home as a seamstress and costume designer full time, I have kilometres of available fabric. If you share some of your dressmaker creations below then I might be willing to make a version in real life as a gift for you. Share share share, I want to see!

I really don’t show my old Dragon Age cosplays enough so I’m sharing 1 character per week to take us through til Christmas (because yes I’ve done that many 😂) In 2017 I cosplayed Dorian using a selection of leftover fabrics and an old skirt I cut up, plus generic craft and haberdashery stuff.

A selfie of myself dressed as Dorian from the video game Dragon Age Inquisition. I wear a short black wig and fake moustache.

Yes Heinz I’m talking to you! I stocked up on a load (16 tins) of soup because this flavour was on offer, both me and my son like it and it’s an instant meal we can cook easily (I’m disabled, he’s 13). They’re currently piled up on my dining table because they don’t all fit in the kitchen cupboard 😂

A pyramid of cans of Heinz Big Soup spiced chickpea flavour, stacked on a wooden table against a grey wall.

Video game recommendation of the week: THE ALTERS Build a moving base, craft equipment, explore the planet, investigate anomalies and create some… clones? The story will grip you, I just can’t get enough of its sci-fi weirdness! Oh, and you can pet the sheep. New DLC just released too :)

Today’s extra British rant: Why do companies that make tinned food design tins that don’t stack on top of each other? We don’t all have endless cupboard space or a pantry!!

A screenshot from a video game, light rays suggest the setting is in somewhat shallow water. Sandy dunes littered with ferns and rocky underwater cliffs can be seen. The picture centres on a mass of coral and purple mushrooms.

Who has been playing the new dressmaker game on Steam? It seems to be getting people interested in sewing which I definitely support. I want to see your creations! I also want to make them irl because you’re all such talented designers. It’s cute that you’re only just realising it 🥰

Autumn is settling in, so I made cinnamon rolls. They look a bit messy but they taste good!

A plate containing 8 squashed and uneven spiral cinnamon rolls, icing has been haphazardly dribbled on top.

Video game recommendation of the week: Bound By Flame Dragon Age Origins vibes, made by the same team who made Greedfall. Fantastic RPG where you’re possessed by a fire demon and trying to rid the world of the evil ice lords. Choose metal or magic to attack, craft, romance your companions…

I really don’t show my old Dragon Age cosplays enough so I’m sharing 1 character per week to take us through til Christmas (because yes I’ve done that many 😂) In 2019 I cosplayed Wynne as part of a DA Origins group and had such an amazing time :)

Myself dressed as a video game character wearing a grey wig and holding a tall silver metal staff. My dress is long and red with a gold belt and orange skirt over the top.

Some heartwarming family news: My sister fosters sick kittens for a cat charity. She took in a newborn stray with a heart defect, not expected to survive more than 6 months. She adopted him permanently to give him a full happy life. He turns 7 years old today :) His name is still Baby Cat.

A black cat lays on a fluffy blanket looking sleepily into the camera.

Random ttrpg question: which class do you enjoy playing most in D&D, and which would you actually like to be in real life? I like playing as Fighters or Bards, but I’d really like to be a Druid :)

A man in a space suit stands on a grey shoreline with dark rocky cliffs jutting out behind. The sky is very grey and overcast with torrential rain falling. An open metal escape pod lays open next to the man. A bright orange/red flare is glowing just behind, with another seen far in the distance on the cliffs.

I was sad at first when I had to cancel, then I thought about all the fantastic photos and cosplays I get to see when people start posting on social media and it reminded me that Kupo family are still family even if you don’t get to see them as often as you’d like ❤️

I really don’t show my old Dragon Age cosplays enough so I’m sharing 1 character per week to take us through til Christmas (because yes I’ve done that many 😂) Witherfang was part of a closet cosplay challenge where I only had 1 hour to find pieces around my house to make it after it was suggested.

A side by side picture where on the left shows a screenshot of the character Witherfang from the video game Dragon Age Origins. On the left I wear a cheap long black wig and my face is badly painted blue. I wear blue/green clothes and have various sticks and twigs sellotaped to my arms and legs.

I don’t even have a bread maker but I do know the only brioche recipe I have in my baking book is a plain one and this looks good. Too many online recipes are wrong or AI so I prefer to get them from books. And I don’t need to click through a whole foodie blog or put up with ads to read a book!

I definitely don’t share my old Dragon Age cosplays enough. So I’m sharing 1 character per week to take us through til Christmas (because yes I’ve done that many 😂). Here’s Fenris from Dragon Age 2 back at London MCM on a very hot day back in 2017. Faux leather, wig, body paint, prosthetics... 😬

A background of a crowd of people dressed normally, and in the foreground the upper half of a person wearing full cosplay. White wig and prosthetic nose and pointed ears and streaks of white body paint. Multiple layers of thick leather armour with spiked pauldrons and fake metal chest plate. Thin trails of LED lights can be seen woven through the costume. The cosplayer wears a stern/scowling expression.

A bright cartoon style screenshot from a video game. A young woman sings into a microphone while standing on a blue wooden stage, a cactus and stars are painted on the backdrop and a random tyre hands from the corner. The woman has blonde hair with pink tips tied into 2 high ponytails, and has a small pink heart tattoo under her eye. She wears a black crop top with pink kitty face and a purple jacket slipping off her shoulders. The far background shows a sandy street and rickety wooden houses.

There’s something about pixelated video games that make me warm and fuzzy. So much nostalgia! (Yes I’m old, older than Sonic, older than text messages, older than PlayStation). I loved playing games like Trap Door, Flintstones, Dizzy and Mission Impossible but yikes those loading screens were loud 😂
