Popular with Germans, Mexicans, Irish and Slovenians (among others), the Swiss have a a slightly different diatonic called the "Schweizeroergeli", and the Bandoneon is completely different. 110 0

Most accordionists in that region play a "bayan", which is a chromatic accordion. The "B" system is used by Russians and northeastern Slavic countries. The "C" system is what the Swiss call the "Handoergel". 110 0

In the 80's, I spent 5 years there and learned to play the chromatic (button) accordion and "real" swiss music (and jodeling too!). 110 0

I would design a PCB with any circuitry that is needed to mux the signals. Microcontrollers are incredibly cheap these days, some as little as 25 cents or less. I was just thinking about switch designs yesterday... This is my first day on BlueSky, and you're already inspiring me to try again with a keyboard design! 010 0

I could turn it sideways and play it, but the action was slow and it only had about 2 octaves of usable buttons. The Cherry switches are slow and just on/off, no touch info. 110 0
