Poke around for crates and barrels, they're all over and can drop good stuff. Remember to assign consumables to your item wheel. Pretty much all gathering and fighting drops useful stuff so if you can do something you probably should - you have more time than you think.

Pick up all equipment on the ground even if you don't switch to it because you'll keep it in your inventory and can feed it to the bots. Don't worry about saving time to defeat the boss as the boss is always 3 minutes. Make sure you have a good enough tool/weapon for the boss before going.

Something I feel is missing from the difficulty discussion is the question of why only hard games are asked to compromise. Silksong has frustrated me sometimes, but DK Bananza frustrated me more for never pushing back at all. Why does no one demand it have the option to be harder?
