In case you missed it last night: we are seeing reports all over the country of immigration surges and state violence. If you need whistles for your community, we will send you 100-3000 3d printed for free, and we will love doing it. 3dwhistles.com

Wow, that is shocking. And amazed how many people are attempting to drive in it.

I used to chuckle when everyone started rickrolling people as if it was some new and horrible thing to do to someone. These people had clearly never been tricked into goatse. Every 5-10 years it feels like a new group thinks they have invented internet/online culture from whole cloth.

Yeah, I played a bit with them on my MacBook Pro M5 Pro but it’s pretty slow and the hornets inside the laptop get very angry lol. Also I wish I had gotten more RAM of course. But really a dedicated server or two would be the way to go but that is like 10k+ right now annoyingly.

How dark of skies do you need to see them during the peak? IOW would I see anything outside my suburban house?

Once again I wish hardware wasn’t so expensive because I am filled with a tremendous desire to try and get this working with local models haha.

It’s depressing how often I am talking to a fellow white man who seems like an okay dude and then they say something horrible out of the blue and I am reminded once again how fucking terrible so many of us are.

I definitely thought of you when I saw that news but was like, “he doesn’t need that in his life”.

Probably more if we went looking but yeah

Or like a time travel Command and Conquer plot. It just really evokes the feeling of those FMV cutscenes to me.

Lots of insects too. And flowers have patterns that are only visible outside the human spectrum to attract said insects. Its nuts.

I like it but also my best friend gave it to me as a birthday gift so…

Glad you found another. Propublica had a whole series about how in many insurance networks there are zero therapists accepting new patients.

Nick Goede @ngoede.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Wild, my therapist doesn’t take insurance but mental healthcare is a special circle of hell when it comes to insurance so I get it.

Yeah, I tried to look for an independent GP near me and haha nope. There was a pediatrician nearish us that was Indy but then she sold to Nemours. I only found her anyway since she was running under 5 COVID vaccine clinics before anyone else in the area.

It is certainly all epic in the big hospital systems near me. And since most of the doctors near me have been absorbed by the hospital systems… I do wonder what the oracle version looks like though.

Yeah fair. I usually only think Epic meaning that when I am in healthcare mode. Sadly every medical office I have interacted with that didn’t use Epic used something that was way worse. Which is annoying but I guess not surprising.

Christa Pike was tortured yesterday by the state of TN in every single USians name and the fact is that this is a country that is mostly OK with this. This says everything about all of us. We are all implicated in this barbaric practice. It's sickening.

I finished my Eureka rewatch and now I’m rewatching Warehouse 13 and if I became a billionaire I would fund a streaming service that produces scifi/fantasy shows that are 16 to 23 eps of silly fun, none of which are blockbuster high budget dramas and all of which have a guaranteed 4 season minimum.

I think it is in the rules somewhere that alien worlds must be filmed in the California desert or in Canada…right?

Aidan takes a lot of really cool photos of retro games on his CRT but sadly it has broken and the repairs are quite expensive. Please help him out with either money or a retweet. Go Fundme Link: gofund.me/553b57ea9

Y'all! Aidan needs your help! He's been sharing his PVM photos for a long time, but now the monitor needs some serious repair work, and he's raising funds to cover the cost. If you've enjoyed his CRT photos, or just like FF and want to help out, consider throwing a couple bucks in the hat! Thanks!

The whole selling point for a bunch of these things seems to be "it is personalized" and I just don't get it.

020

Nick Goede @ngoede.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

What is the advantage to "personalized music" anyway? Like I just don't understand.
