i feel like being "uneducated" or "misinformed" about ai as an artist by now is a bit. scratches head...

cin wang @ngnix404.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

its actually been really fun to have a music related hobby again and feel like im learning new skills completely unrelated to art tho... the pressure to "be good" isnt here bc its not smth im actively trying to make my livelihood so i just wanna do it more and more

a coupla days ago i saw someone say smth along the lines of "consuming" so much art on a daily basis thru their fyps or pinterest ended up being detrimental to their own process and im starting to believe in it ngl

beyond the obvious ethical problems whats even the end goal of generative ai from a business/corporate standpoint like who tfs gonna wanna buy a product they could just generate themselves

Embarrassing example of the commodification of artists through this new wave of "sakuga discourse" (hypeposting about action anime) is joking about a person working under a different name after going through a rough patch wrt mental health. Wanting a clean start is not "a bad attempt at fooling you"

ough i still have such a long way to go... more work = less time to spend on cuts -> lower quality but then that means. less... work ...... the very consistent theme for the past few months has just been that one scene from shirobako...

this sounds dumb and borderline pretentious but animating really does constantly remind me of my own mortality like damn there really Is a limit to how much a person can physically draw within a day

cin wang @ngnix404.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

i animate w an intuos tablet so whenever i have to draw a long continuous line i start sweating

im technically drawing almost everyday yet i still feel like im forgetting all of my draftsmenship skills... just tracking lines while animating doesn't necessarily translate to solid drawing huh...

1 day in i think the biggest diff. between here vs twt is twt feels like an endless whirl of reactionary ragebait thats probably siphoning off my lifespan but gives those dopamine hits while scrolling on here just makes me feel like a millennial with an actual in-person office job on my lunch break
