Honestly its probably just because of the machines actually looking like the characters but like most characters you could always just put them in a different machine which is probably what most would do anyways now for mirror mode well guess there is something with the track ghat makes it hard

I mean you can still just play as Kuromi or Hello Kitty in a different machine plus in a way it kinda makes since why you cant customize the Sanrio Machines its likely because there themed around the characters heavily

Out of Mascot characters I feel there is one only a few mascots I like and one is a sponge,a hedgehog and the other is an electric mouse oh and the red Italian plumber is fine also the Bandicoot,Pac-Man and Rayman are on the list
