Warren is brave enough to say his family works in crypto, but is she smart enough to articulate what that means or how it makes money? Also she voted against the clarity act, ensuring crypto does not get clear rules or honest jurisdiction. She’s not working for you, she’s working for herself.

“an opportunity for banks to retain and develop their customer relations” ECB admitting that without mandating the digital euro, people will go elsewhere and the banks will become irrelevant. They’re trying to avoid becoming blackberry in an iPhone era.

I don’t think bonk and dog $ get enough credit. They’ve done more for getting regular ppl using pki than pgp, rsa, and the infosec industry in all of its existence. It’s a reason state growth problems had to be tamed with exhaustive engineering. Now we have fast magic beans youtu.be/AqKFBEvwqqg

in an economy, you have: -> some set of finite resources (land, minerals, compute etc) -> you apply transformations on those resources to produce things like food, health care, transportation etc pausing on resource development is effectively stagnation that not everyone globally will partake in

imo the world is multiplayer and compute has become the backbone of modern society, so a moratorium just gives others in the world a chance to gain more compute (to potentially impose on us by building more massive data centers and probably not as many of the mini ones running potato hardware)

Would love to see Chris sit with someone in the industry like this and have a discussion. Why does Chris seemingly hate crypto? Is he trying to follow Warren’s footsteps? Would learning about the what crypto actually is, and how it works, change his perspective? youtu.be/p_ptXfhOQIU

What is the failure rate of NYDFS regulated and genius act regulated stablecoins compared to U.S. bank failures, both in aggregate and per capita, since 2018?

Once again asking for CT to have a senator that cares and isn’t just out for his own political agenda
100
Jake @ngmi.co · 14/07/2026
Nah this is dumb and sad to see from my senator. The SEC under the prior admin refused to create rules, which allowed much more fraud and prevented legitimate companies from functioning (the SEC admitted this). CLARITY creates rules and protects consumers, which Chris doesn’t like, apparently.

Jake @ngmi.co · 14/07/2026
Translation: Warren is aware her anti-crypto army never materialized and is making a last ditch effort to add ethics guardrails to a bill that seeks to regulate crypto. Under the prior admin there were no regs, just an SEC that refused to create rules. Warren gains political power by preventing regs

Jake @ngmi.co · 14/07/2026
Wow. Amazing. Ever thought about fixing CT?
000
Jake @ngmi.co · 13/07/2026
How does clarity act deregulate crypto? What does it allow that isn’t allowed now or at least isn’t evaluated on a case-by-case basis via SEC enforcement which has been mostly favorable since OCP 2.0 ended?

After I started working in tech, the vibes became noticeably off when reading these articles. They were no longer providing a nourishing information diet, and the cheat code for getting back the early vibes was to be following the builders directly.

Apparently the robot’s designer gave WIRED the exclusive on this launch, who then betrayed him by publishing this. The commentary of the situation resonates with me. When I was in high school / college I found these publications to be not just a view of the tech landscape, but even inspirational.

I might also be jaded from the status quo of skateboarding but it just seems normal to me to utilize the freely available terrain around us, and pay for upgraded terrain when you can and want to (I’m in a paid membership skatepark rn)
000
Jake @ngmi.co · 10/07/2026
I think this is why @chrismurphyct.bsky.social’s stance is confusing to me. Replace “soccer” with “skateboarding”. There’s plenty of public space in the state to skate for free. But if you want an indoor best-in-class park, or an instructor’s time to teach you, you have to pay for it.
100
Jake @ngmi.co · 10/07/2026
I think this is underestimating how many public parks there are (every town in CT, Murphy’s state) and overestimating how much people in the US care to develop World Cup champions

Jake @ngmi.co · 07/07/2026
Even if you go back to the beginning… the data doesn’t show it’s mostly illicit. Even a former CIA director said its illicit usage was overstated. bsky.app/profile/ngmi...

I wouldn’t even consider my case an edge case. Google wouldn’t offer an API as an edge case, that doesn’t make sense for them. Reality is just that stablecoins make it so Google doesn’t need to give surplus to credit card companies anymore.

Jake @ngmi.co · 06/07/2026
Do you have data that the majority is illicit? Stripe does tons of stablecoin business now. Many multinationals use them for reduced FX spreads. Western Union and Moneygram (2 largest remittance companies globally) both operate with stablecoins. Shopify accepts them. They’re used for RWA stocks etc

Depends on if outside or inside. When being outside 70s is fine. 80s is hot if you don’t like the heat. >90 you’re probably not going to want to be outside long even if you like the heat Inside most people like their AC set to 68-72. Below 68 it will feel too chilly. Above 72 it will feel too hot
