#pixelart follow up. I decided to go from 24x21px to 32x32px, with the character being 24px tall. While at it, I had a first try making a run cycle as well. The GIF shows the "old" version and the new walk and run cycle. #2d #gamedev #gamemaker

I'm NOT a #pixelartist, never wanted to be. I can do things in #3D, why bother with pixels. Because I'm doing a #2Dgame from scratch, with no outside resources. I think the little walk cycle is OK-ish, I know I need to tweak some of the leg pixels, but it'll do for now. #gamedev #gamemaker

I played #tetris 2 for the first time yesterday ( #gameboy ) and I'm not sure what to make of it. As game it's an unholy symbiosis of Dr. Mario and Tetris which to my surprise worked well enough to play it for some time.

I almost forgot this year's completed #WinterVillage. I decided on a ski resort theme, mostly because of the 3 big structures (#Pantasy (left) and #Lumibricks (2 on the right)). Filled the empty space with 2 #Lego sets (which are a good deal underwhelming compared to the rest). #afob

I finally found some time to work on my game again. The change from mouse to controller removed many problems that killed progress before. New doors and the action menu is in again, I also changed the base grid from 32 to 16px (I was using the tiles in 2x). #gamemaker #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

After toying around in #gamemaker and trying to make the game idea work with the gameplay loop I had in mind, I decided that it wouldn't work. So I killed off almost all code written so far to start with a "blank" project. (No, I'm not quite ready to reveal it yet). #gamedev #restart
