I think about this all the time. In my field, computer science, it seems so easy to have major results 60 years ago. There was nothing. You could get stuff named after you, even for the most basic ideas.

Markey skillfully turned Moulton’s words into a “human rights” issue, as he told the New York Times.

I had a mtn biking friend from Curaçao who spoke 5 languages at age 5. Mandarin ‘cause his parents were Chinese. Dutch ‘cause it was the official language. Spanish ‘cause they got Venezuelan kids TV. English ‘cause they learned it very early in school. And Papiamento ‘cause all the kids spoke it.
