I was also really glad they established John had told Brady about what happened on the island and he recalled the twins, too. Because you know who wouldn’t know? Steve. He was dead when she came back in 1991 and he was still dead for the Gemini twins over a decade later. Brady was around for that.

I do really like they let Sydney have a connection to Grandpa John. I totally believe he checked in on all his grandkids all the time. Lots of nice stuff with Belle and Marlena about the strength of John and Marlena’s love, too. Which I think it is a little foreshadowing.

There’s a lot of reasons I don’t think Stefano and Marlena had a secret child but the biggest is there is no way he would’ve spent all those years knowing that and not using that child to get Marlena to be with him.

It was really nice that Marlena got to miss John and express her vulnerability. But Julie does not have more family in town than Marlena. Marlena has two kids, three grandkids and a great-grandchild in town (not to mention a dozen more off camera). Julie has Eli and the twins and some cousins lol

I know the fun narrative is that Brady is a big villain here for keeping Xander and Sarah apart, but Sarah is just flat out using Brady at this point. Not to mention, I can’t get past the things Xander said about Sarah a few months ago (even forgetting his crimes, the names he called her were gross)
