// Hello, everyone. This is Mylie, the writer for this account as well as @newfacesteam.bsky.social and @ancientpatriarch.bsky.social. You may have noticed me slow down a bit on here, and there's a very good reason. There has been a lot of behind the scenes issues with some-

"Rally, I trust that you've been getting along with your new friends. I would be delighted to hear more about them from you and your partner. -M.M." Underneath the letter was a business card, marked with a date, time, and a location she was all too familiar with. 🟣 Work? 🟠 Yeah. We've got work.

-and perhaps a bit concerned. She could count on one hand how many people would be able to reach them in this secluded place. Tearing the folds, she unravels the rather plain looking paper, reading aloud calmly:

"Weird hearing myself say that. Seems like it wasn't too long ago you and 'gumball eyes' there were at each other's throats. What happened to that?" The doe gave another hearty swig of her Masashi. "Going legit now?"

130

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Well, speak of the devil and she shall come. Finally, someone amongst this crew that knew how to party. "Here I thought I *was* in a playground until you showed up. You must be Surge. I was just introducing myself to your friends here." Rally shrugged her shoulders lightly.

130

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"Here." A burner number, one of few she used that was connected to a secure, network, one where she couldn't be traced so easily. "When you've got a job lined up, you can reach me at this number. Trust me when I say, sweetheart: I can handle anything ya got to throw at me~"

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

She almost felt pity for the guy. Almost. "Deal. I can live with that." Rally scanned the table intently, reaching for one of the pens used to write up a tip, and a spare napkin to scribble on.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

A mobile home? Sheesh. Either the poor dude's been taking low ball offers, or he's got a lot more to owe his rings to. Working for those kinds of gigs shouldn't put him in such dire straits. Then again, her place of respite was a safehouse, but that was an intentional choice to keep the fuzz off.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"I imagine that sparky green chick I've seen in your company would be a bit more exciting to hang with." She leaned in closer to the hedgehog, smug as can be. "Unless being around you has made her soft, too."

140

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"Huh." Rally rolled her eyes, her brows furrowed into a most unamused expression. "Out for a night in a place like this and not even looking for a sip? You guys are reaaalll straight-edged." The doe took a light swig from her drink, a sound of satisfaction escaping her lips.

Rally gave the hedgehog a playful wink, all the more enamored that someone like him was here. Maybe she could get some more out of him than simple greetings. "Can I get you two lovebirds a drink?"

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

More specifically, her connections underground were talking about the commotion near Oil Ocean and followed their search. She glanced back to the hedgehog, a hand resting on her hip. "Heard that you kicked that Infinite fella to the curb again not too long ago. I suppose I should be thanking ya."

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Surely, she had to have heard that name from somewhere if she was tagging along with the blue blur, right? ... Nah. "Well, Ms. Espio, it's a real treat to make you and your boyfriend's acquaintance. Your man's been the talk of the town lately."

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"Espio, hmm?" The chameleon would be given a rather *firm* shake of the hand, pulling away after damn near yanking it. A playful gesture that would probably take the other by surprise. "Espio....Espio..." She echoed, tapping her finger on her chin as she looked up to the neon lit ceilings to think.

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"I believe if you're good at something, ya never do it for free. No matter how fun it is." Rally could've just walked away, right now, but frankly, she was itching for some sort of excitement. Depending on how her terms were received, she might just find it in this very club.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

"Hey hey now, big guy. I said I do it for more than the pay, but that doesn't mean I'm getting skimped." She pointed a finger to the brute. For most ruffians, this would've signed their own death warrant. To her, it was decided from a firm knowledge of her own strength.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The doe had gotten midway through her swig before her eyes widened at that, groaning a bit as the gulp went down hastily. Disregarding the man's poor table manners (as if she wasn't a bit uncouth herself), the misunderstanding they had was enough to shift her tone.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

She leaned on one arm and let the question set in. The doe's gaze into the mobian's eyes remained firm and, naturally for her, rather smoldering.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"-as is, enough to keep our lights on, our bikes fed with gas, and to put food on the table. But Gaia knows I'm in this for more than the pay." She leans forward, propping herself up a bit on her hands to better meet eye contact. "I don't suppose you're looking for a +1 for a gig anytime soon, hm?"

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

She downed another hearty swig of her drink. "Well, Mr. Krypt the Raider...i oughta tell ya. I've been itching to get back out there for some action, a sentiment my partner doesn't share right now." Rally hummed dismissively, rolling her eyes at the thought of it. "She says we're sitting pretty-

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"Krypt..Krypt the Raider.." She echoed, tapping on the table in deep thought. "Where have I heard that name before..." She'd certainly worked with and fought a few 'raiders' before, or guys with that job description or codename. ...Preeeetty sure Haru killed a guy with that moniker, too.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

-and we certainly wouldn't forget a face like yours." Perhaps an alias or name would be more recognizable from those listings she crawled through. "What do they call you around these parts, stranger?"

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

She chuckled at that. Suffice to say, there was more to her lifestyle she enjoyed than just the paycheck. "I'm surprised I've never seen you out on the front lines, before. Me and my friend have been grouped together with others before to get the job done-

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

-with just her thumb, as if she had done this a thousand times. Rally hummed lightly, enjoying that first swig. She had her cohort to thank for her choice in liquor. "Honestly, sticking with a group for longer than a job or two can be so restrictive. Not as fun either..."

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"A fellow freebird. That's the way to be, honestly." Quickly, the bartender slipped two crisp bottles of lager and went on his way. It was smart of him not to linger, or to pester the larger one for compensation. Without breaking eye contact, the bottle was swiped from the table and flipped open-

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"My name's Rally." The deer put her free hand on her hip, leaning down just a tad to meet eye level with the chameleon. "And you are...?" The presence she wore was smug and intimidating, but withdrawn just enough to allow for plausible deniability.

010

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"Honestly, if I knew you were the dating type, I would've expected you to be with that other pink hedgehog you've been on the news with so much. Buuut that's getting parasocial..." She paused for a second, giving a fake 'posh' chuckle deafened by the music. "Oh, *where* are my manners?"

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"A fan?" She thought for a second on that one. Her eyes trailing elsewhere for a second. "Ehhhh, I'm a 'fan' of some things ya do. Really, your life is kind of an open book-" She made a gesture towards the stranger, and the club itself.. "At least, I thought it was."

110

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Back to matters at hand. "You affiliated with anybody?" She queried, trailing a finger gently on the top of his hand. "...or are you more of a free spirit like yours truly?"

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"My, my. Someone's proud of their trade. I guess we've got a little bit in common after all." The doe cocked her head to the side to the barkeep, who had been, to put it lightly, intimidated by the man's presence. "Oy, geekboy." She snapped her fingers. "Two Masashi Super Drys. Chop-chop."

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

The doe blinked. That was...surprisingly easy to shift his fone. He was a whole different animal compared to the grumbling menace she walked in on. It was a tale as old as time for her. Everybody opened up to her eventually, it was just a matter of pressing the right buttons.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"What else do ya do with your spare time besides smashing drunks and turning down pretty ladies, hmm?" She drums a hand along the table, close to the barfly's own. "Surely someone with your sort of strength's gotta be in some lucrative business."

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Besides, a guy like him seemed like just the sort that would be snooping around in the same biz as her. Maybe she could pluck a job opportunity from him, directly or otherwise. Or she could just keep pissing him off, if all else fails.

100

New Faces Team (Rally and Haru) @newfacesteam.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

A scoff emitted from her. "Heh, alright, big guy. If that's how you react towards a request for common courtesy, I can't imagine you've got many friends." Typically, that would be enough to have her slam a guy's head down into the table, but the height difference wasn't on her side.
