I absolutely agree that the concept of AI by itself is morally neutral. Attacking AI directly is not a productive strategy compared to pointing out the AI industry’s unethical practices.

Newestski @newestski.bsky.social · 11h

Fair enough. I guess my point was just that, unlike drugs, it’s also the actual development of the models themselves that cause damage, not just their usage. That’s what makes it so hard to separate AI from how it’s affected the world.

Newestski @newestski.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

while i do agree in some part with this sentiment, i think it’s important to recognize that ai technology literally could not have developed to the state we see it in today without the mass exploitation of artists or construction of environmentally harmful data centers.

[ 🦇 // #furryart ] reward for ghostlymemoirs!! 💊 (she/her)

a digital drawing with rough linework of a rosy maple moth girl anthro with big starry eyes, four arms and short blonde hair in a fluffy bob haircut. she wears square glasses with red lenses, a lab coat, a black nurse coat and black leggings with cyan circuit markings. she stands in a cutesy pose with two of her hands forming a heart shape, one hand on her hip, and her other hand forming a peace sign, against a background that gradients from purple to pink.

No i do not know what compelled me to make this. I now have a fully rigged model of my fursona tho, so that's cool. Also. The texture broke at one point while I was making this and it ended up looking really cool imo. made of pink paint.

having thought about it, lots of other narrative based comics follow the one page a week format. it’s a good way to pace yourself while still regularly getting to see other people enjoy your work, so it’s probably what i’ll go with as well.

to like explain what this is without giving away too much… basically, i love the benefactors and am sad that videocult hasn’t really done anything with them, so im making a full comic set before the great ascension about the troubled development of one iterator and her relationship w/ her operators.

Newestski @newestski.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

also i’m still trying to decide if i should release this one page at a time (one per week) or finish them all and drop them simultaneously (there are about a dozen) (may take forever)

hey! some of you may remember that a while ago i said i was working on a comic based on my rain world OCs. While it’s still long from being finished, not telling anyone about has been slowly killing me, so you may have a sneak peak at the cover art. #RainWorld #ChurchOfThorn

A piece of comic cover art featuring approximately 4 rain world ancients.

At the bottom there is text that reads,“RAIN WORLD: Church of Thorn
A very very unofficial comic by @Newestski”

yeah, they mentioned it in the akupara direct! all we know rn is that its VERY early in development, and that its a standalone title because they’re making it in a new engine (apparently perpetually tacking new stuff onto a 9 year old game is not a sustainable development strategy)

030

Newestski @newestski.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

if they announce it and it’s ACTUALLY called Rain World 2, I think that’d be a massive red flag. Like, imagine if Silksong was called Hollow Knight 2.

130

Newestski @newestski.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

devs have confirmed there is a standalone successor to rain world being worked on. i assume people mean that when they talk about a “rain world 2,” although i really hope it’s not just a direct sequel, because rain world was a complete work of art when it came out 9 years ago.

more of this worm. he reminds me of a convenience store or gas station logo

three flat color drawings of a long bodied worm or snake like fantasy creature with six wings and a body that is striped with black on top, then blue, then red, and then yellow on the underside. it appears to be crying.
