So @mydearwxtson.bsky.social sent me this photo yesterday, and now unfortunately I will no longer be able to participate in society as I am busy.

Amanda Tapping circa 2003/04ish in a brown neck sweater, silver jewelry and a backwards baseball cap advertising Sea Shepherds activist group. One arm is raised and touching her hair behind her head. Her lightly Smokey eye makeup is really amplifying her blue eyes and the comely expression on her very beautiful face. Shes not smiling exactly but she looks entertained. In summary, she is extremely hot, particularly appealing to the sapphic population (and certain male boomers as well.)

This week SJ Fic Club is reading Black River of Loss by Literatus. I haven’t read this one before, but I’m looking forward to it bc the author’s other SJ work is stunning. archiveofourown.org/works/582448...

A dark black and white photo of a river flowing through a grass field. It looks like farmland to me but idk. The picture is the background of an announcement about Black River of Loss by Literatus, which SJFC is reading on 23 Feb. Graphic made by Lena.

I mean, it’s ok but compared to these guys…3/10.

Sam and Jack in the episode Evolution, telling each other good luck as they go off on different missions. They’re looking at each other exactly like I’d look at my coworker, if my coworker was my wife. Unfortunately Sam developed a temporary case of severe astigmatism in this moment, as that’s the only way she could have been unsure about his feelings for her two episodes later. It’s obvious because of his yearning eyeballs.

Jack O’Neill being sad because he has to stop being Jonah, Thera’s himbo boyfriend and start being Colonel and Sir, Major Carter’s CO. He is looking at Sam off screen with his pretty, glistening very dark eyes, clearly *yearning* for her and what they could have. Also his Jonah scruff is hot.

It’s no longer “this week” but oh well I for one need some positive vibes today.🤍 #ficwip #samjack #sg1 #pairingmachine

A snippet from a one of my fave Sam x Jack fic wips where their compatibility is tested in a sort of VR simulation thingie. This is part of a scene from that experience where they are in a cutesy little area on the western edge of Colorado Springs that I think Sam probably loves bc underneath all the uniforms she’s still a cute girlie. She’s telling Jack she thinks they’re supposed to be on a date in this part of the “simulation.”

Eating blue jello and watching Foothold in honor of my baby’s birthday

Season 1 Sam Carter trying to hide the fact that she thinks her CO is funny and cute. She smiles closed-lipped but enough that her dimples pop, then ducks her head so that hopefully no one, like, her boss, will notice.

We haven’t made a Fic Club account for this app, but since I know some of y’all (hi @betterlate.bsky.social) aren’t on the hellscape bird app anymore, here’s your reminder that this week’s fic is Taking Christmas Off by NiceHatGeorgia! archiveofourown.org/works/130776...

Announcement for SJ Fic Club meeting on Dec. 8, 2024, during which we’ll be discussing the Sam/Jack fan fiction Taking Christmas Off by NiceHatGeorgia. It is a graphic of Redvines licorice in a white background with red gradient borders on top and bottom. It has slight candy cane vibes for added festive flare. At the top it announces SJ Fic Club presents… and at the bottom it lists date (Dec. 8) and times (same as always). Redvines are a small plot point in the story, which kind of irked me at first because I am staunchly Team Twizzlers, but they do acknowledge that Redvines do not taste good, so it ended up being ok.

An alternate graphic announcing the Dec. 8 meeting of SJ Fic Club, during which we’ll be discussing Sam/Jack fan fiction story Taking Christmas Off by NiceHatGeorgia. The image features a close up of colorful Christmas lights on a Christmas tree. The tones of the image are dark purple and pink, with some green (the tree needles) and blue and orangish-yellow lights as well. There is a matching purple gradient at the top and bottom. The top says “SJ Fic Club presents” and the bottom gives the date and time. Normally we don’t make/use more than one of these but I made four and couldn’t choose so here’s the second of my two favorites.
