I ran 102.5 miles in September, 96 outside. My knees feel a bit better and my times have gotten partway back to my ideal range. I’ve been doing a kettlebell routine 3X a week in solidarity with my wife, and while it seems to be helping, the noises my knees make during lunges are horrifying.

I’ve been driving for 30 years now and saw a new move tonight on my way to see Shiner in Detroit I stop at a red light. I’m the first car in the leftmost straight lane. A guy drives up in the left turn lane, then pulls in front of me. “Did he not realize it was a turn lane or was that on purpose?”

I thought I’d encountered all the horrors that the Trader Joe’s parking lot had to offer, but as I was going around the loop to exit, a woman slammed on her brakes and started backing up. I assume a spot was opening up by the front, but there were multiple open spots where I’d parked!

The vibraphone player of a ‘00s indie band was v. drunk, fell off the stage of The Highdive in Champaign, and I somehow caught him. Band booted him soon after. During their > 10 minute set at the Fireside Bowl, the guitarist of XBXRX climbed on my shoulders and I walked around the crowd.
