OH MY GOD, E&H are doing a decent job on the Magic Knight Rayearth. They even used the old OP during the credits. Only real gripe I have is the bloom being too strong in some scenes. PLEASE LET THIS BE AN AMAZING REMAKE!

Not even halfway through episode one of Kanata kara/From Far Away and it's already looking leagues better than Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori/Red River. Tatsunoko is doing such a piss poor job that it's make Studio DEEN look like UFOtable, and it's still not what Kanata kara deserves.

Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! Episode 1 I was prepared for Ecchi standard fare and got hit with potentially the best comedy of this year. I'm loving all the chararcters so far. Except Arisu. She's terrifying. She gave Tan bottom surgery twice. *shudders*

Between a TTRPG I'm in, and a couple of back to back watch alongs, I am very quickly realizing that I can't really do the reaction threads the way I want them. Sooo.... I'll just go over the parts that realy stuck with me. False Memory! Reaction thread! Episode 1 to 3! SPOILERS AHEAD!

All hands on deck! Ross explains how the EU Kids Act could end #StopKillingGames by collapsing the EU gaming market! youtu.be/mQRcK9nYg9g "The best thing you can do is spread the word...The people who write this crap do not like it when the public at large knows what they're trying to do to you"

This could legitimately end Stop Killing Games.

And here I thought JoJo had lost its spark after Netflix botched Stone Ocean. Yeah, sure, they fucked up Steel Ball Run as well, but everyone's united in hating the Ending song, so this made the memes flow again! JoJo Fridays are so back!

Most of the online discourse around the new GitS anime can be summed up as "I am a fan of the series but I would never ever read the manga". Anyway, anime of the season. Go see it, since it finished airing.

Comments on this video are noting that SRW used to make up stuff a lot more because Jack has a heavy accent. And it seems like art and references of these characters was hard to come by because Mary lost her eye shadow for a while.

And here I worried about which anime is best of the season, when Hathaway swooped in and took the title for AOTY.

I don't think I've ever regretted watching an anime the way I did with the 1987 OVA "TO-Y". The story isn't bad, the animation is surprisingly good in places, it's just... "Cubic Lovers" by Psy-S seems to emotionally destroy me.

Hideaki Anno makes 3 movies in 10 years that all start with "Shin" in the title, then he decides to make a Gundam AU and names it by rubbing his face on a keyboard? Nah, that's Shin Gundam and you can't change my mind!

Wild how Shadowrun today feels like an optimistic alternate future. Native Americans gain independence from the U.S. government? A benevolent dragon becomes the president and governs by suicide? People still communicate primarily through message boards? Sign me the fuck up.
