If you’ve ever read The Enshittification of TikTok by Cory Doctorow ( @pluralistic.net.web.brid.gy ), you learned how terrible of a company #Amazon is. That was my last straw with anything owned by Jeff #Bezos. I stopped using Amazon in 2023. His current actions with #WAPO don’t surprise me.

As a former conservative, I find it mind boggling how much the Republican Party and MAGA diehards have been conformed to the image of Trump. When debating them, I call MAGA a religion, with Trump being its messiah. It contains many religious elements and conforming to Trump’s image is one example.

Being autistic has profoundly shaped my faith in two drastic ways. As a young undiagnosed adult, it fueled relentless knowledge-seeking, leading to dogmatism and pride. Later, diagnosed, God used my divergent empathy to love the marginalized as He had always loved me. He disarmed my pride with love.

Part of being diagnosed as an adult is the realization I stim all the time, I just had no word for it so I had no way to consciously store it in my brain. I questioned whether I just started stimming once I learned about it, but I realized it was often subconscious. #stimming #autism #autisticadult

All the jokes on here about right wing media blaming Musk’s Nazi salute on Autism are spot on. Racism is not a symptom of Autism, nor is fascism. If anything we usually have a stronger emphasis on justice and equity than the typical population, and we tend to deep dive into the knowledge of things.

It makes no sense to me that strabismus/cross eyed/lazy eye can still be mocked in an era where disability is becoming more accepted, but even in “left” circles, mocking strabismus is acceptable. Would we not frown upon someone mocking someone in a wheelchair? Why is strabismus any different?
