This was LBJ’s order of 1965 specifying non-discriminatory practices in federal government hiring and employment.

A tweet by Melanie D'Arrigo reads: "The Department of Labor is ending all investigations and enforcement related to discrimination in the workplace. This doesn’t promote merit-based work. It promotes and protects bigotry."

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

In addition, he took the US out of the WHO (with a looming threat of avian influenza) and at a world economic forum essentiallly said he would use economic blackmail to try and force Canada to give up its sovereignty. 🙄
