Lisa Given, a Distinguished Professor of Information Sciences at RMIT University, said that while the changes from Apple were a step in the right direction, it was another example of tech companies passing the buck on to parents.
"I think one of the challenges with this is that type of a shift puts a lot of control into parents' hands, but that means the onus is on the parents," she said.

Going through and downloading a few Tumblr comics to make them into .cbz files (comic book zips) for my library. Tried it with Newnap's "After Normal Pacifist" UT comic (first: newnap.tumblr.com/post/1846759...), now trying with @akanemnon.bsky.social's Twin Runes. For when I finally delt a rune.

I took a step into hardware 'repair' by receiving my #iFixit kit in the mail today. I was able to get into the Lenovo Chromebook I picked up last week and disconnect the battery so I could (while running off USB power) replace the OS with @postmarketos.org. Full success!

Trust but verify, people. It's not in your server - apps like DomoAI are 'user apps' that let people temporarily bring in apps to execute a (1) command. You can see it in the attached image - you must authorise it to your account before it can do anything. Can you still block it? Yes, absolutely!

A bit of lore about DJ Splatsune - They are the modern iteration of an older persona I used to use for defunct creative collaborative The Layabouts! You could say they found themselves perhaps? I had to grab THIS image from an archive.org page from 2011!

This is the latest character of mine - DJ Splatsune! A true human representation of my inner self - gender-fluid like me, they alter their appearance depending on how they feel - binding their chest and tying up their hair if they feel more male. Artist: yuuri_arts on Twitter!
