Sometimes, when running D&D, you just need to channel your inner Brannon Braga

What do you call those droppable sticks they put at guard posts? Just ensure the gap is only large enough for a bike. You could even give the snow clearers a remote.

Hot take: if you were reinventing Dick Grayson today from first principles, you’d make him the son of a pair of high-flying wrestlers.

It notes there are plasma injectors into the nacelle that causes a “shift of the energy frequencies carried by the plasma deep into the subspace domain.” It’s possible that you could read that as “the plasma goes to subspace”, I suppose.

The TNG tech manual doesn’t really say. Clearly some deuterium will be lost since they’re mixing it with antimatter at a ratio of 25:1 at idle, 10:1 at Warp 1, and 1:1 at Warp 8 (which is weird since at 1:1, how do you have plasma??).

Though I also don’t know how you would run this game digitally, though clearly there’s a way.

I mean from a GM perspective it’s super easy; running STA and getting a handle on Threat will help you manage Fear. It’s just the player side combines a TTRPG with a deck-building game.

I just read Daggerheart. It’s an interesting system, but wow it has a lot of bits.

I wouldn't call it a collapse or crisis yet, but the fact the treasury markets are essentially ignoring Bessent's attempt to lower rates could easily grow into a crisis.

I have gradually switched back to a much more analog style; paper books & notepad. Something about reading paper seems to hit my trained monkey brain different. I wonder if there were studies on this.

This happened on a Friday afternoon specifically so that the Trump admin could control when these charges were dropped in a lame attempt to control the narrative. Don't let them.

Prosecutors move to dismiss Reflecting Pool vandalism case, saying 'botched installation' to blame
The government had accused David Hearn of ripping a piece of sealant after a $14 million renovation. Hearn has repeatedly said that he simply touched the water in the pool out of curiosity last month.

That’s not hard to do. Take a look at the Oakland Army Base, closed in 1999, but make the assumption that Oakland’s planned turn-around failed at some point.

You know, only capitalism could take one of the greatest public health victories of all time (municipal water and sewers), and make it something you must replace with a product you have to buy.

It turns out that crowding foreign money into microfinance didn’t destroy global poverty, but did set up entirely new chains of dependence and poverty.
