First day of my first #TourDeFleece 💙🩵💚 Excited to be part of the @flyingsquirrelyarn.bsky.social team #ThePlyingSquirrels
Wooden spinning wheel, sitting on a wooden floor in front of a white wall with two windows. There is a plant in one of the windows and a larger plant to the right of the spinning wheel. To the left on the floor is a large basket with wool fibre in it.Aerial perspective of a wooden spinning wheel sitting on a wooden floor, showing its bobbin with some wool yarn spun onto it in colours of blue green and purple.A large antique basket filled with wool roving ( long thin strips) in blue green and purple.

Went to my LYS @flyingsquirrelyarn.bsky.social and these told me they want to be a Vertices Unite shawl. Who am I to argue with the yarn? #knittingforolive
4 balls of various green yarn on a window sill.

I think every knitter has an internal list of yarn they someday want to work with. Mine isn't long, but I found out one of them was recently discontinued. Fortunately I able to find 4 skeins (in my dream colour). Now I have to figure out what to do with them. Any suggestions? #brooklyntweed
4 skeins of rustic, earthy looking mustard green yarn with labels that have "est 2010 SHELTER nature's palette brooklyn tweed" printed on them. Above them is a postcard with a forward facing illustrated pink sheep. They are all laying on a wooden floor.

In times of fear and attempted division gotta up the love. (window decal from NeebingAndMary on Etsy- a queer owned, Canadian shop). 🩷🩵🤍🤎🖤❣️🧡💛💚💙💜

Hopefully better late than never to the #ScrapAlong2025 Between health issues and a shoulder injury i've barely been knitting, but i'm getting back to it, finally. These are being knit with yarn ends (after I finished full socks). LoveliesI bought from people destashing (Rowan & Urth).
Two partly hand knit striped socks with three small balls of yarn off to the side of them. All sitting on a window ledge.

Day 16 of #fiberuary: I've been trying to get in more reading & I just finished a great book by @beckyblake.bsky.social I also think reading and knitting is better with handmade pottery (as are all things). This is one of my favourite mugs, made by the very talented @bevmcn.bsky.social
A book and handmade mug sitting side by side on a wood surface. The book to the left is titled Proof I Was Here by Becky Blake and the mug has a illustrated style hand-painted moth on it and contains tea.

Thanks to my wonderful LYS (local yarn store) @flyingsquirrelyarn.bsky.social I was able to get the perfect yarn for some future projects and some great advice on the sweater I'm about to cast on- thanks Erin 🧶
Three skeins of yarn laying side by side on a wood background. The one on the far left is a thick blue yarn with an "ancient arts" label on it. The middle one is a thinner skein and a thinner yarn in a mustard yellow. And the far right one is also a thinner yarn but in a large skein in a burnt orange brown. Both the middle and far right skeins have "tukuwool" labels on them.

I love texture (day 11 of #fiberuary ). It is why I keep my yarn and rug hooking the fibre in old baskets. It is also one of the reasons I love fibre craft so much. 💚 #rughooking #textiles #fibrecraft #fibercraft #craftstudio #fiberuarychallenge
A wooden shelf containing two baskets in the foreground is an old red basket with multicolored wool strips in it, in the background is a natural colored basket with yarn in it. Above them is a multicolored freeform square piece of rug hooking framed in a rough looking wide yellow frame. Beside the shelf is a weaving in the background barely visible It is long and narrow and looks to be hanging from a wood dowel.A piece of rug hooking divided into four quadrants done in colorful freeform squiggles is framed in a wide yellow frame which is made up of old baseboards. The frame looks very rough and there is a lot of texture in both the rug hooking piece and the frame. In the background hanging on the wall is a piece of embroidery from Thailand it has strips of colorful and floral fabric stitched on a dark blue cloth and has small white shell buttons and beads stitched onto it in the foreground is The top of the teak dresser with a bit of a small antique spool cabinet peeking out with a small spool of yellow yarn sitting on top of it. Beside it is a large old hand woven basket which is quite round in form. It contains balls of yarn some of which are peeking out of the top. They look soft and fluffy and are a mix of colors. Along the roundest part of the basket, the belly are three wider strips of the fiber it is woven out of. One in blue one in peach and one in green. And the foot is also made of a wider woven fiber.

#fiberuary day 6 "a pop of colour". My most colourful knit to date is the #nightshiftshawl by @dreareneeknits.bsky.social So addictive and satisfying 🌈😁
Middle-aged woman with short hair stairs off to the side wearing heavy glasses and a chunky knit scarf.Entire frame of picture is filled with knit fabric scrunched together. It has a simple repeated pattern of small dots and large dots repeated throughout creating a very texture.

Great owl mug. I was a potter for many years and have many friends who are potters so picking a favourite mug is a little like picking a favorite child but this one is very special because not only do I think it's really earthy and beautiful but my friend who made it has since retired from potting.

Finally contributing to #fiberuary these are some "work in progress". The final WIP of 2024 almost done- vanilla stripe socks and swatching for my first sweater #felixpullover by @savoryknitting.bsky.social #fiberuarychallenge #fiberuary2025
Two hand knit socks one on top of the other, the top one not fully knit. Above the pair of socks is three balls of yarn. The center is the front page of the knitting pattern for the knit sweater the Felix pullover. It is a white page with a woman wearing a sweater looking down peeling an orange. Beside the piece of paper on the right is a small piece of hand knit cloth and to the left are to cakes of soft and lofty looking hand dyed yarn.

Usually I just freeform it, but this year I decided I wanted a little structure for my creative goals. What are some of yours? #make9
Piece of paper on a cork board with black lines dividing it into nine sections. Within those nine sections are the words brioche, spinning, color work, vertices shawl, project bags, sweaters, the jack tar bag, himmeli mobile and quilt shirt.
