i originally imagined him as really elegant, maybe something like haku from spirited away, but every time i draw him he turns goofier and goofier

i mean, thats the core issue of the website, isnt it. twitter is functionally identical but it has more people and posts i wanna see lol. why would someone come to bsky when twitter already meets all their needs

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

i have a scene set in a grocery store for my comic and i thought it would be nice to just drive five minutes over and take some reference photos for added "believability"/laziness............ i feel like that would be creepy tho lol

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

i just go where my friends are and there are posts that i wanna see lol

i still go on tumblr but the tags for most stuff im interested in are either dead or have fandoms that feel super abrasive to me..... so much of the original fandomite population has left u_u

thinking about the time i wanted to find an nsfw artist to comm a romantic nsfw scene of my ocs from, and i asked for suggestions, and everyone kept reccomending me butt fuck sluts go nuts artists </3 id like to be the type of artist to fill that void, but also, im busy lol..........

040

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

theoretically id be willing to do nsfw comms, but i am way too picky about what i am willing to draw that its easier to do a blanket "no"

250

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

these ocs are for an nsfw zine anthology project that will hopefully release in 2027, so please look forward to that!

otome VNs are the biggest offenders. It's also a huge thing in TL. as much as i love kimikoe, im not reading it for the femc lol. maybe the most recent mainstream shoujo title that comes to mind for me is "a sign of affection" 😶‍🌫️

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

i dont like how a lot of joseimuke nowadays tends to have super blank-slate, easily self-insertable whitebread femcs.... i want femc's with like. moe traits for me to grasp on to.........

"bitch" at least has the level of class of being timeless..... "foid" just makes you sound like you're a 16 year old who just discovered /b/ 😭

Closing comms for now. Thank you to all those who expressed interest. If you have already discussed getting a comm with me, you can still get it! But I'm not taking any more clients until I'm finished with my current queue lol

ime with some fanworks like that you stop thinking about "how to make something successful" and just create purely for fun/passion, which makes them very creatively freeing in a way

220

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

after spending time around doujin communities i kind of feel like the futility is the point lol. if youre a hobby artist theres so much pressure to make your work monetizable, while with fanworks, thats often illegal...

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

i want my monsters to be cute. they should be like doe eyed anime boys, but with snouts

370

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

peace and love to the terato enjoyers but a lot of stuff with the label makes me feel like this

150

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

i think its very funny how seperate furry and terato stuff is. most women who like terato stuff seem to like the "monstrous" aspect over the "non-human" aspect, so i guess that makes sense. plus a lot of erotic aspects of furry can be very alienating if you arent into that

Nessie (comms closed) @nessiefynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

the style in the legends games feels more reminiscent of the older gens........... it feels like such a wonky choice to make when i felt like the older style of humans in pokemon felt pretty iconic too lol

100% agreed. i think the core issue is a lot of people just dont have empathy for women's issues. misogyny just isnt something meaningful to them in the same way as labor rights, because it doesnt effect them
