this is the funniest thing i've seen in a looooong time. city passes new rule allowing prayer before city council meetings. satanist prays. city council then debates proper time to "undo the curse that was just put on our city" www.404media.co/it-is-done-h...

You've stripped away any possible meaning from the word. Congrats. Epic crash out.

There's really no ideological connection.

Yeah, I thought that might be your confusion. 20th century Italian Futurism and retrofuturism are 2 completely different movements.

Witnesses captured the moment NYPD officers rushed to the scene of a shooting involving federal goons in the Bronx this afternoon. Officers ran to the scene and carried a man into the back of a car to transport him to the hospital.

I really don't want to debate philosophy in a car design thread, so I really should just ignore this, but it's just so misguided. Sometimes a car is just a car. Cheers.

And The Genealogy of Morals is more an exploration of social concepts such as morals and guilt, rather than a tracking of ideologies through cultural lineage. It's a long rambling tangent asking why we have this concept of morality.

If you're going to attribute ideological "genealogy" to a whole race (Italians), that's genetics, and ironically kind of fascist. Nietzsche wouldn't endorse this and Foucault wouldn't either.

Nervarchy @nervarchy.bsky.social · 7h
No. Genealogy predates Nietzsche by a few thousand years. Nietzsche appropriated the word for his screed. If you ever want to use "genealogy" in purely social terms, I suggest you use "philosophical genealogy."

You believe that fascism is a genetic trait?

The Audi RSQ prototype is inspired by Streamline Moderne, and the cybertruck is stolen from the wedge era. I consider the cybertruck bad cyberpunk, and RSQ good decopunk. Candy thinks the RSQ is retrofuturist trash in the same vein as the cybertruck. Weird take. One is beautiful, the other hideous.

In the Bond films, Jaguars are mainly driven by the villains. This was a deliberate decision. Jaguar has leaned into this with their ad campaigns using the slogan "Its good to be bad." Yes, it's ridiculous. They directly market to assholes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-_3...

No, Bezos doesn't like it because AI sounds external to your biological brain, and they want you so stupid that you can't function without their services. But they don't want you to feel like an idiot tethered to an external mental crutch. Super Intelligence sounds like a brain upgrade.

Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the delorean in 1974. If you think the wedge era that inspired the cybertruck coincided with Italian fascism, you're only off by 30 years. This design language wasn't fascist until Elon resurrected it (poorly). The Giugiaro Lotus is still a beautiful car.

That won't ever make up for the loss of depth perception/stereo vision. But I understand you're just paying a compliment. I'm just personally invested because I have a rare genetic disorder that prevents my corneas from healing. Every exposure to chemical agents causes permanent damage to my vision.

The MAGA grandpa that attacked the protestor looked almost old enough to have fought against the original nazis.

I just had a very disappointing exchange with our new candidate for city council in my area. They refused to commit to voting to end our Flock contracts. They are under the impression that Flock ignores local residents and only tracks "strangers." They think more technology will make it better.

Does this graphic fall under your definition of fascist propaganda? Because it's just objectively true. I will be voting, but I'm fully aware that at best it will be a brief pause on further fascist escalation. And no, progressive entryism hasn't dismantled the police state in any measurable way.
A graphic illustrating the ratchet effect of the US two party system where the GOP notches fascism forward, and the Democrats hold these escalations in place, never reversing back toward the left.

The old doug has been appropriated by nazis? I guess like the swastika, they need to flip another peaceful symbol? So this is bioregionalism mutating into nation-state style ultra white nationalism?

I answered you question clearly. I gave you my full position. You don't care. Because it was a rhetorical question asked in bad faith.

I'll just close with the suggestion that continuing to call Trump voters "conservatives" gives them undue honor. Any traditional conservatives left the party. It's a fundamentally fascist movement.

Nervarchy @nervarchy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Maybe that's the reason that the find out phase is so cathartic. Because it's an essential step in the de-radicalization of MAGA. And maybe some turbo-liberals do find joy in watching MAGA suffer physical harm. I don't know, don't care. Trumpists completely lack empathy, and so deserve none.

I still see a big chunk of the left focused on class-reductionist bridge building with working class fascists. You might make progress with that in the future, but you won't be able to deprogram them until their entire world view completely implodes in on them...

And I've personally been stuck inside a red state in the past. I know exactly how it feels. It sucked. The anti-science, anti-minority, anti-women agenda in full force now had already taken deep root in the red states years ago. I saw open racism and misogyny becoming mainstream culture...
100
Nervarchy @nervarchy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
This really became apparent when a dozen red state governors gleefully volunteered their national guards to deploy into blue states as an occupying force. Trump didn't have to even ask. Much of the rhetoric is now reflecting the early stages of a civil war instigated by red state governors...

Nervarchy @nervarchy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
No, of course not, and I agree that using "red states" as shorthand for Trump voters is often unfair to children and anti-fascists trapped within those states. I'm not a fan of borders and states, but the union is clearly separating along state lines...

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

Sure, Biden made a lot of mistakes... that Democratic leadership apparently haven't learned from. But there is more than enough blame to go around. This hard-right turn into fascism didn't start with Trump, and it doesn't end with Trump.

I dunno, I thought we were discussing Nebraskans cheering while the president invited Iran to level my city, and comparing that general FAFO content. But, if we're talking about a fascist electorate suffering the worst consequences of fascism and whether they deserve that... yes, they deserve that.

Modern CA Republicans aren't moderates that would be upset by those remarks. They're probably subscribed to Truth API and think they'll get an early warning from Trump so they can head to Vegas for the weekend while the wokes get sent to hell.

So what are we talking about here, MRAPs or APCs? Chinooks? Are we going to parachute down on you? In a shameful moment of a president threatening California, instead of solidarity with us, you've constructed a fantasy where your deep red state gets to be the real victim, and CA is an evil invader.

We "California crazies" have no interest in marching on Nebraska. Come on. 1400 miles away on the other side of the Rockies. Be afraid of the President ya'll overwhelmingly voted for, not us. I just want out of the union, and it's justified at this point. The USA is toast and isn't worth saving.
